In all seriousness. The hot topic is not really a hot topic, it's just causing people to become overtly concerned with something they have no control over.

Seriously, whose gonna remember who was elected when and temp banned for how long for whatever reason by the end of MoP? And for those people who will remember, I feel kinda bad, because it should not influence future decisions.

Case in point- it's not a hot topic. Its being made a hot topic by posts and threads like these.

Not everyone builds a website to "make money". In fact, my inexperience in Web development has shown me that people that build our buy a website with the pure intention to make a profit, normally get disappointed. Without passion for a subject, you have no audience.

Shane runs this website as a business, as well as a community. It is in his interest to be receptive of the community's desires.

Either way, it is not a threat. Pageviews generate money for the site's owner, and if customers are unhappy with the product, they can go elsewhere. This is simple economics.

Where's Drayner when you need him? It's threads like these when we all need Drayner to remind us that this isn't a democracy.

I know everyone wants to know the reason for what happened but making these threads don't help you. If you really want to know then ask the people involved...if they don't want to say then I don't know what to tell you. I know it sucks being on the outside of "the know", but get used to it. There's a ton of situations in life just like it.
