My account has been hacked and suspended!



First thing i did was log onto my blizz Battlenet account thingo and changed my PW



Then i went went to recover my account



Now when i try to log onto my Blizz battlenet account it says im using the Wrong PW



Anyone know the dealio

if you did this based on a recent email.....you have been hacked.



it's one of those official looking emails with fake warnings, recommending PW change, that directs you to a fake battlenet site to enter your data......boom you just gave your account away.



you will have contact customer support with your CD keys, and fax them a official ID
 
Make sure you don't have a KeyLogger.



Find the Blizzard Support number for your country, call it (sit on hold for an hour) and tell them you got hacked - they'll ask a few questions like your name and secret question. If you answer them correctly, they'll give back your account and activate it again. Then they'll lecture you on how you should get a authenticator.



After you get your account back, if you're missing any items/characters just either email them or open a ticket and you can get it all restored.



That's what I did.
 
You know, it's actually Blizzard that's behind the string of recently hacked accounts. They're trying to push their authenticators, so they "hack" an account, strip your characters and put the fear of god into you so you'll give them more money.
 
i still say employees with the WOW system hack, sell gold, etc. from inactive accounts.



i can not see how a player quits for 1-3 years, reactivates account, and discovered it has been hacked, stripped, etc. keyloggers would not do this, imo....inside job

To log in this afternoon when I got home from work put in my password and it said that my account has been temp suspended,



I don't give a rats ass about my main but if my twink is gone I'm going to go postal on a homeless orphan

I've had something similar happen to... a trial account I made. Yup, a measily trial account.

Only that I had like 15 emails, a few with blizzard in it, and the rest having random emails with the same bloody message. I decided to merge it with my battle.net account and the emailing stopped.
 
your account if prob suspended because the person that hacked your account was either A: hacking in the game B: trying to sell your gold for cash or C: all of the above.



run AVG or a virus program u have, then change the password to your email account. then change your wow password again, set up a dail-in authenticato code if you have a cell phone (this is free from blizz, the dail-in authenticator not the phone :p). Your twinks will most likely be there still because most hacker will only log on your main to get the "good stuff", this is unless they have a lot of time with your account. But if you call in or email blizz you will get your shit back without a prob......

Same exact thing happened to me Hotbot, it was a keylogger from the curse auto-updater thou. I just called and got my acc back within a day, but like an hour after I got it back I was banned for spamming and gold selling. So than i had to prove that it wasnt me to get unbanned :/
 
BREAKING NEWS: Just got off 20min hold from blizzard in the U.S.A (FML phone bill when i get it), said i had been hacked and my Account was in recovery mode atm, 72 hour ban :(, but my kind friend Justin :p from blizz is going to send a Gm a post asking if the ban can be lifted



Hopfully the shit dont hit the fan anymore :D

lmao alright ill try not to. but back ontopic if you got an iphone or something like i do just get the free auth app for it. it even comes with a free little core hound pet. best thing ever.
