"Base damage/healing on spells is removed too. All from scaling. Equal scaling for all!" <----Pretty sure this is going to apply to melee as well.

I couldn't help but see this blue post in regards to the new expansion. Some of you have some knowledge as to how scaling works and will understand that this is HUGE change.
  • upset with the sudden change in damage output from ret/enh/fury with the release of MoP?
  • Avenger's Shield hits too damn hard?
  • Devouring Plague hits too damn hard?
Anyways, these things occur because of scaling changes within various classes with the release of MoP.
If this means what I think it means, either everyone is going to be OP, or everything is going to be scaled down to that of a fury warrior.

Everything will probably be equally viable next xpac

Source?

everything is going to be scaled down to that of a fury warrior.

would be ideal, welcome to balanced (compared to cata) wow pvp. lets hope this brings a positive change to wow as most f2ps have only experienced unbalanced wow with stupidly high numbers to hp ratio.

INC ENH SHAMMIES
i hope this works out and would this narrow the gap between 24s and 20s in any way?

I'm not even sure what this means.

Does it mean that the relevant stats (SP, AP, etc) are completely great dependent now?

Regarding enh shammies, I have one with over 300 AP. It still hits like a wet noodle... Unless the conversion rate changes, I don't see how scaling changes really change anything. And regarding fury warriors, unless Blizz decides to let us dual weild 2h weapons from the jump, then I don't see how their damage is going to increase enough to make a difference.

Then again, with hit and expertise being removed, maybe that off-hand weapon will be more than a slightly better than useless stat stick.

And you thought 80s in MoP blues were OP now?

I have a boner reading this. Seriously if it means what we think it mean PVP will be awesome! Can't wait to see that happen.

It would increase the gap.

nooooo!!!
i don't know what im gonna do if 24s get any stronger...
go back to CoD?
this bracket used to be so fun, ever since mop came into existence it has shat on f2ps

omg imagine getting cata f2p abilities + balanced pvp ...

I can't see the gap getting larger. Take a mage for example. The scaling difference between a 20 mage and a 24 mage is drastically huge. With the removal of scaling, the only thing that would increase their damage is the gear that they have.

Base damage & healing is the only thing that doesn't benefit from p2p enchants. Remove it and the influence of enchants on the total damage grows.

With the same stats, a 20 is MORE powerful than a 24. Stats scale BETTER at lower levels. The reason 24s own is that they can stack a LOT more stats.

There's a reason I could solo Pandaria rares with relative ease at ilvl 415 at 85, but got pretty much instagibbed by those same rares at 89 with ilvl 429.

There is a reason that lvl 80 twinks decked out in MoP blues were able to go one-shot Pandaria raid bosses that full lvl 90 progression raids were struggling to down.

But you don't have the same stats, so what exactly is your point?
