Thinking of something new

I seem to be a bit bored with my 19 warrior. So I am going to reroll some new class for this bracket. Any ideas? I'd prefer not to have a druid as that is my main and no warriors as I've already got one. That leaves 7 classes :p

Would love any thoughts or suggestions on why to roll a certain class etc. so I can start theorycrafting a bit and lvl to 20 or so before 3.1 comes out. I will not be twinking till after 3.1 because as we all know the changes could mean me wasting thousands of gold for one week of twinking.

Oh and a sweet name would be awesome too ;)

well, i was going to say balance druid..

there's not a whole lot of variety at 19. i guess the best 'underplayed' classes might just be a shaman in general or a +SP DPS paladin

Druid...did you mis-read his post? he wants to make a level 29 not another 19.

29 is alot diffrent than 19, theres a more balanced ratio of hp:dps, but there can also be quite a few rogue/hunters which im sure your adjusted to in the 19 bracket.

Hunter - most played class, can be game breakers if played correctlly, some of the best dps.

Paladin - as a holy paly you will never die unless you have 2-3 coordinated twinks using stuns/silences on you for a bit of time, as ret you will do nice burst and still have the utality.

Mage - either be 1 of the 3 best flag carriers, stack spell dmg sit in the back and pewpew, or get both sets and do em both.

Priest - a hybrid in this bracket, even as a holy or dps you will have a 70/30 split, if your a healer you still must dispel, fear, etc..and even as shadow you need to heal when necessary.

Rogue - the 2nd most played class, best intinal burst, they have quite a bit of utality if played correctlly.

Druid - low on the dps end even if you spec for it, they are 1 of the top 3 flag carriers, and make pretty good healers.

Warlocks - the tab dotters, most warlocks even twinked have no idea how to play, if you can master drains, fears, pets, you will become alot more useful to your team.

Shaman - decent dps, decent heals, and decent utality with totem/shocks/purge, overall a decent class.

Warriors - good dps, can take quite a beating, is alot better when running with a healer.

I have played every class at 29 exept shamans and Warriors, they are all fun in their own regardes.

I actually do like the idea of a pally again. I had a pally who I twinked in 29,39,49 and then lvled the toon to 70 (silly me, my 49 was full blue with 3 epics... at 39 I was full scarlet set which I sold when I went broke *sigh*)

I will not go holy, for one reason my main is resto and I always go dps in twink bgs because I have healed enough of them on my main. I want to kill myself, not help someone else kill :p But I do like the idea of having the ability to heal myself, i.e. go spell damage ret. Is that viable still? I would think that it would be decent with all the changes to seal since last time I played my pally (TBC.)

I've looked at some of the theorycrafting, was planning on engi/skin for professions, though with the changes to professions in 3.1 that may change. Figured I would get the toon to 20 by 3.1 as I said and work out gear and such then. Nonethless any advice would be excellent :)

No, spell dmg rets really can't thrive in the 29 bracket, you just get to much bonuses from agi/stre/crit compared to spell power at this lvl.

Eng/Skin are prob 2 of the best.

if you want some examples of ret palys theres a few in my guild.

look up Eldre'Thalas, Twink School.

Llamastank when in his ret gear is a crit hog, hes near 55% with 2 exploited enchants

Husarz is more balance.

Theres a few others as well.

I vote shaman. A good shaman never goes unnoticed.

played pally/warrior/lock in 29 and my huntress entered the 2x bracket before i quit.

pally had too few buttons to spend long lasting fun. ret -> 49.

warlock is tabdotting as mentioned. besides this micromanagement added fun to it. 1vX with a lock can be very hard but often they will die even if they were able to kill you.

warrior is funny too, but it lacks some very good spells and is even more fun in the 39 bracket.

hunter. yep, fun and powerful and surviveability and outlasting and long lasting fun and all the others in a BG will be hunters too.

while leveling her up i played my mage in 29 for a week. dunno what to say, cause she was not maxed out. a little too squishy imo.

my rogue did some BGs too...what can i say, prep+hemo are not reachable. the most fun trinkets and items are in the 39 bracket too. not viable in 29 when you ever played one in 39.

my shaman just hit the 2x bracket and i had a little fun. grounding, windfury and chain lightning hit the game later, but you have watershield, ghost wolf and water walking^^

jesus, sounds like half of the fun is added in the 2x bracket.

warlock or shaman (or hunter) and no statement to druid and priest.

well, my main is druid and i started playing him at 39 in pvp. a look at the talent trees makes me thinking -> min 39 better 49.

I really enjoy my mage, i got bored of 19s like you and levelled him to 29 because honestly he sucked.

Thank you for all the opinions and what not. I will be rolling a pally (he is lvl 6!) but won't begin twinking till 3.1. I'm not about to blow gold on something that could be removed 2 weeks from now. Anyways, thanks again and anyone who has any good ideas for gear are always welcome to post :D

and get a healing/fc set too...respeccing adds fun to the game.

That's a no. As said, I've been a healer for 40k kills plus s2-s4 and what not. Only twink to kill and do damage. Flag carrying is only important when you need marks and such, otherwise I usually don't care who wins or loses the battleground.

^this will stop me from helping you.

Well it varies per game. A little bit I am rolling into this bracket so I can get out of WSG and into a bit of AB. I have always been against AB farmers who stand in between bases and do nothing productive. But defending a base or assulting 20 of them is productive in my opinion.

And I can understand the frustration with pure farmers. But being in PuGs most of the time (occasionally I have a few healer friends) I often have to do 100% of everything to win. That's not fun for me. I have found myself multiple times running to hordes base with their flag to kill the EFC because no one on offense is managing.

On the other hand I do enjoy getting up 2-0 and then holding the flag for a bit to farm. Nontwinks might bitch a bit, but usually they get more honour than the bonus from the farming. I suppose that once I get my battle standard this could all change. After that I have no pvp related rewards left to obtain.

twinks might bitch a bit too. i sure do. i'm against this sort of action 100%.

that's very disrespectful in the eyes of many people, i would highly suggest against farming with the flag.

Well with my queue times on Reckoning EU, 6 minute matches mean more time spent in the queue then in the bg. That is not fun.

you should create a toon on the opposing faction. that's what i do when there are long queue times...just queue on the opposite faction :D
