Theorycrafting - New 19 Enchants

Seeing as how lots of nerfs are headed in the way, here are some things to consider.

Average 19 Rogue Chest - Blackened Defias Armor - 11 Stam, 4 Agi, 3 Str +100 HP Enchant - 260HP, 4 Agi, 3 Str.

Average Rogue Legs - Dark Leather Pants - 8 Agi +40 Stam +12 Agi

AGMx2 - 2% Dodge, Bubble



Post Nerf:

11 Stam, 4 Agi, 3 Str, 50 HP

8 Agi, 100HP

24 Stamina, Bubble



Possible NEW Setup

Formal Dangui - +150 HP Enchant, +400 Absorption Enchant (Greater Rune of Warding); 550HP Total (per 90 seconds).

Leggings of the Fang - 9 Agi, 5 Str, 4 Stamina +100 HP.

AGMx2 - 24 Stamina, Bubble



Old Total: Equivalent of 610 HP, 24 Agi, 3 Str, 2% Dodge, Bubble

Nerfed Old Total: Equivalent of 500 HP, 12 Agi, 3 Str, Bubble

New Setup: Equivalent of 930 HP, 9 Agi, 5 Str, Bubble



We need to stop looking at these nerfs as if they're bad, but look at what other options we have laid out for us. The AGM buff is really nice for all classes, unlike before where we would only use it on our rogues. Having 2 now actually helps more than just 1% dodge. Using 2, along with a previously available but very hard to obtain/not well known chestpiece, we can use it to our advantage. I know the numbers aren't solid due to the bubble only being active once every 90 seconds, but without a healer it's very likely you won't be getting that 400 back regardless. Either way, we can use what we have, along with the new updated craftable gear, to buff our twinks beyond what they were before, without Nethercleft! Even without the bubble, we get close to what we had before.



Thoughts?
 
Pfff, Blizz just killed my pally's healing abilities in the 19 bracket...To maintain a bit of HP i have to trade in almost all my healing.....*sigh*

Seriously considering retiring my twinks all together....

Yet the Formal Dangui is still superior for all except druids taking over a certain damage threshold within 90 seconds.
 
Can the Formal be chanted by the DMG absorb? I know WotLK chants would not work on it.

Question about Ward: When it procs does it give you a buff that absorbs the damage? If so, can this be purged/dispelled?

There's no visible buff, but when you get attacked it says (Absorb), like AGM. Meaning it probably can't be purged.
 
I thought Formal dangui cant be enchanted?

It absorbs 400 damage... not 750 - 1250.

But:

AGM - 750 - 1250 per 15 minutes.

Rune - 4000 per 15 minutes.
 
Oops. I thought Iaccidentlytwink said that AGM will now no longer give you a magic buff (to therefore be dispellable). Pay no attention to my previous comment.

It cannot get WotLK chants (Now chants look to see if the item is cloth, leather, mail, or plate. The Dangui is none of the above) but it can get the Ward. The only downside to using it is that you need to slap the ward on every hour. (If I am reading it right)



Personally, I would rather get the bets possible blue/green chest I can and chant that with something that won't have me reapplying it every hour.



My feelings on the AGM is that I would grab two of them, but I would keep only one on at a time (Maybe swap it on and off when I see fit); unless I am making a FRer who needs as much Stam as he can get.

paladins weren't good healers in the first place :p



also, 19s should be happiest about these changes. there are more grandfathered professionists there than any other bracket, and also i would imagine more shoulder enchants. and the hp/dps ratio highly favors hp at 19.

I'm happy, this does not at all make me want to retire my twinks. Everyone's Hp will go down, everyone's dmg will go down so it really all evens out IMO (I didn't do any math or anything). Shoulder enchants were never meant to be (good, cause I don't have an 80 to get them for me :p ).



Twinking was fine pre-leg enchants and OP profs so Blizz is making a good choice to go back to that time. Blizz has been screwing up one thing after another for a while so it's nice to see them fixing everything all at once.
 
yeah seeing them rolling back on us like this makes my blood boil for more PVP =8-D

no more 2 hours trying to kill an unkillable druid with a priest, no more takeing forever for a BG. i just can't wait to see this !

Mixed feelings on the changes. Although, I see the changes in a much more favorable light because I will be able to compete on a more "balanced" level.



Question about Dual AGMs.



Aside from flag carrying, how many of you guys would run with 2x AGM instead of AGM + PvP Trinket?



I just finished getting 1 AGM on my Hunter.
 
i don't want AGM at all.

i prefer PVP trinket + BOA trinket

getting back life after each kills makes it all worth it.

not to mention the haste rating is good for a hunter too !

ummm...since when is dark leather pants the pants of choice...anyone with a brain rolls 5-5s with nethercleft and 16 ap with nethercobra



...y did u even mention legs...theres no "theorycrafting" to it...u lose the patch and throw on 100hp or 8 agil....whats to discuss



as for double AGM...since the dodge nerf, nobody has done this....trinket > 12dodge any day of the week



as someone on page 1 said...if ur a perfectionist, get 2 agms....but only use 1 unless ur in a "max stam" situation....not wearing a trinket is like not wearing a weapon...most classes are designed to be able to last their cc cooldown vs an equally geared opponent (my priest can last 30sec between fears vs a rouge)...trinket kinda messes this up



if u really wanted to take the time (and with the dumb achievment pulling 80s to the arenas its a lot of time) u could get a second agm to pop on during trinket cd...but its not really worth it, since u cant switch gear in arena and a rogue doesnt really get focused in premades....and pugs dont matter :p

12 stam (soon) and getting out of a movement impairing effect or immobilization > the haste and hp returned per kill. But definitely use the haste trinket if you know that you wont need the extra stam or w/e. haste isnt all that great compared to the other two trinket possibilities.
