Yes, all the banned weapons and items leave evidence in some way with dmg procs, buff procs or higher stam than what they normally have so should be good. If a team suspects their opponents using banned items they could check their combat log after the match as well

Ye not sure how hellscream axe with 2x 5 str 6 stam gems compare stam wise so i left an if in there.

Oh yeah, I see what you’re saying now, putting the 5/6 gems on the axe on a higher level toon then sending to 20. Gotchu! But yes, they’re grandfathered so works that out

you either ban everything and make it a completely level playing field, or you don't ban anything and make it free-for-all.

if you really want to make this event fair, interesting, and most importantly, popular, just ask all players to equip unenchanted gears (28 greens) sold by:

people can roll 1~2 classes that they like and be ready to practice for the tournament in a couple of hours

i have a job, a side business, i spend a huge amount of time playing the AH, i am gearing up two classic server twinks, i want to do pugs on my hpal from time to time.

I just cannot convince myself to re-sub and spend the time get an int + vers (or pure int even) set for this event (and not being able to pug for a month) because it would already be a huge time-sink in terms of practice (some folks already started practicing, like everything else in life, those that put in the most amount of effort to practice and prepare, will do relatively better)

with that being said, i am sure this will be a successful event, good luck to those that actually put in the work to prepare and practice.

I don't like this idea, having little customization and lower secondaries sounds boring and takes away from part of what makes twinking enjoyable.

There's always going to be people who are too busy to take part in or prepare for tournaments, that's unfortunate but pretty much gonna happen every time.

I actually like the sound of having everyone in the same unechanted green gear from vendors because then anyone could play and making a new class just for the tourney would be easy and it’d make it all about skill but it would be hard to enforce that and people might be less interested for that. But for item bans, changing them around to free up a lot items is in the works
