Blizzard seemed to "fix" the prices for the Token.

EU: yesterday 18:00 199k Gold - today 06:00 250k Gold
US: yesterday 18:00 112k Gold - today 06:00 140k Gold

The 3 other regions didn't have that jump. No idea what happended there.

Panic buyers anticipating a resell like they did back when tokens first were able to be converted into bnet dollars.

Blizzards algorithm is what made it "even out" at 250k though. IIRC they have it set where there can't be more than (or less than) a 3% change in token price within an hour up or down. That way when something like this happens and everyone freaks and dries up the market it won't shoot the price up a whole 100k within an hour because there aren't any more tokens available and vice versa.
