EU+US The TC that never happened

Customers are the people that visit the site not just ones that donate $$ my friend.
It is bad a business model to be beholden to a few whilst forgetting about the majority.
When someone offers a “cash prize with conditions”, such as it be for a 19’s only tournament that is their discretion. However, should the website want to flourish it shouldn’t be so discriminatory about website sponsored tournaments in the future.

If people in any other bracket were making an effort to have a competitive community/tc theyd be welcomed to the website and met with support. If anyone was able to organize more than two guilds from any bracket to play each other in a tournament why haven't they done so?

people who have never been involved with the organization of the TC or planning always say "do it in ___ bracket its better" but they dont want to do the work to make it happen, they just want the people who have worked very hard at making the 19s tc a thing to do it all for them.

You are looking at it the wrong way my friend. You really shouldn’t be so tribal about this(19’s vs the rest). That’s no way to view it really. Almost like Alliance vs Horde.
For instance, I show zero allegiance to ANY bracket or ANY faction. I play them all without any discrimination. That’s exactly why I keep characters in several brackets on both factions. I know there are others that feel the same way I do.

You are correct in the fact that only a few people organize the events, offer information, offer prizes and do the leg work while the rest reap the benefits. That is how this entire website works. You have been here long enough to know that.

This year’s TC couldn’t even muster up 80 people despite all the time given and all the prizes.

Until other brackets show any sign of having competitive games the organisers of such events won't be willing to hold a tournament in anything other than the 19 bracket.

With that said there's no significant difference within the 19 bracket now compared to 2017, there's a couple new teams, not including LSN who would've played in legion if asked I guarantee it, and in 2017 there were probably a lot of people put off of forming teams when the TC already looked bleak.

It definitely wasn't Conq's theory of toxicity as that didn't change in 2018, it actually got worse with the introduction of endgame players.

It was probably a number of factors that accounted for TC 2017 not happening.

1. Legion being falsely considered a bad expac even though from a wargame standpoint it had so much potential.

2. Conq the organiser having 0 respect from any of the prominent figures in the bracket, if nobody trusts you to run a tournament well then they won't sign up.

3. Due to the rise of private servers, one in particular, there was a distinct lack of plebmades or anything of the like happening, with one or two nights of games happening during the cata servers life, which was roughly 2 and a half months, which tied in with TC announcement.

4. Lack of initial teams and communication, prior to TC 2017 the only teams in existence were GSC and Burg's team NWA who had beat GSC a few months prior, both had signed up to TC, Dan with his usual cryptic sign up that Conq mistook for a fake team and lost faith in them turning up and Burg's team pullin out a few weeks after signing up, much to the anger of everyone, lack of initial interest deterred new teams forming.

TL;DR - 2018 is no different to 2017 it's just 2018 had initial interest that 2017 needed

Other brackets have just as “passionate” individuals as well. Like you, me and many others they just don’t donate $$ to this website.

I believe 19's section is the one with the most traffic as well though?

That’s something the owner would have to show us the metrics for in the last 180 days.

People are misunderstanding my intent. I could care less what bracket it goes into. I have loyalty to no bracket. It is just a game to me. Something to pass the time when I have some free time(which is a very rare thing). I just want events to be successful. That’s why offer prize incentives.

There is a bunch of cool stuff most of which is not in my best interest to divulge as it involves some T2 and T1 esports businesses, but one cool thing that is happening that I'm allowed to share is that i'm on the planning and administrating team for an event called KephriiCon, Kephrii is one of the top OW streamers and frequently top 1-500 NA, he's a local. If you want to keep up with my activities just keep an eye on my twitter, some insane stuff will be going down in the next few months (@Conq_DC).

Oh and earlier this month I got to admin the Fortnite tournament at a local convention, Epic games was kind enough to supply us with custom match making ability so I'm one of the few people in the industry who don't actually work for Epic with experience in that.
Awesome man congrats on the digs!!!

I believe 100s are the most active node now in terms of discussions/messages.
