The State of 39 Alliance on Bloodlust (is it the same elsewhere?)

Reposted from the Bloodlust forums, as I'm not getting any traction there; maybe its a sign...? Read on...I'm wondering if this phenomenon is only occurring on Bloodlust, or has twink competition dropped significantly on other realms?

The wife and I were playing most of the day yesterday, jumping back and forth between our Horde and Alliance twinks.

Queue times were great Alliance side: nearly instant pop every time we dual queued, but quite frankly, the caliber of Alliance players really, really disgusted me. Mind you, we were lucky to be grouped with other CT members, and an assortment of twinks from THIRTYNINE, No Pwn Intended, and Who Needs Talents, to name a few, but the pugger's were terrible; the three or four of us in each various BG were drowned in a sea of Horde twinks, or simply better, more organized players. Alliance was unindated with keyboard-turning, hunter pet attacking 30-33 lowbs with level 20 gear and sub-1k health.

On Hordeside, queues were 10-15 minutes, at least (only two people group queueing), but some games, neither the wife or I could get a kill in; Horde players (most twinks, some just well-geared, decent level puggers) just swarmed the Alliance team, and mowed em over.

Was yesterday just a bad day for Alliance (I doubt it; Friday night wasn't much better), or has this been going on for a while?

If so, how do we boost the competitiveness of BL Alliance twinks/twink guilds? I'm not talking PMs so much, but just the level of competitiveness in pugs (if this is even achievable).

DISCUSS!

I agree with you, Bloodlust alliance pugs have been so horrible the past few weeks, I'm taking a break from WoW. I have 39's on both alliance and horde side...I get frustrated when I'm on alliance because my teammates are so bad. And not just random non-twinks either...there are tons of really bad twinks. The alliance mentality seems that after a death, they send a bunch for flag room D, while the rest of the people get gy camped. Horde just plays more aggressively. Its even more obvious in AB, which is just nonstop horde steamrolls. I can only play a few games on my alliance toons before it gets too frustrating and I take a break.

When I'm on my horde twinks, 9/10 games are just easy 3-0's or 5caps. I've been in games where alliance has 6-7 twinks while horde has 1-2, but horde still wins because of their persistence on playing heavy flag room D. I've solo queued against the active alliance premade guilds, and our pug still usually wins.

The toon I've been playing most (Pinworms) has a 94% win ratio, and thats even with bg hopping when I can tell a game is going to be boring, and declining group invites from guildies because I rather solo queue. It gets to the point that I don't even care about 'winning' because I know horde is probably going to win anyways, its about just racking up dmg/kb's, which really loses its appeal fast.

Imo, the only good alliance guilds were Oneshot, Cyclone, and PWW, and these guilds are more or less inactive. Haven't been impressed at all the rest, though they may have 1-2 decent players. I've considered rolling or xfering my alliance toon to a more active alliance guild...but then there are no active alliance guilds I think I could stomach playing for.

As for your question on is it the same elsewhere? I can say on Cyclone, its much more even, horde wins more, but its not completely lopsided like here.

As you can see, my post is just a big QQ over alliance pugs without offering any solutions...and I realized the only thing I'm currently missing from /canceling is the inability to post on the forums

While you say Bloodlust is completely retarded regarding the win-ratio, Cyclone is not too impressive either as Pers said. It's might be probably more even, but it's still the situation with Horde-puggers being much better than alliance-puggers.

While there might be a few random Horde-twinks and a lot of average players they might win anyways versus an allianceteam consisting of 2 serious twinks and a bunch of 1000 hp or 1500 hp-levellers.

I suppose it's a general phenomenen with players leaving the bases in AB and just capping -> moving on fighting between the bases rather than AT the bases. But it just happens really often, probably for hordes aswell.

The only times I fell like Alliance is superior if there is accidentally is very many Horde-scrubs betwen their team or the alliance has 3+ players from an organized guild (Like MYL).

Else, it's usually in Horde's favour. But not at a 90/10 ratio =)

All my comments were referring to the US servers btw.

Is there a single battlegroup out there where alliance wins more than horde in pugs?

on RUIN BG the past week has been bad due to players going into BGs for the main reason of looking for other races for noblegarden achievement.

Competition in pugs didn't seem that bad today, though the queue was long... then again, the competition thing might be because we ran up against about 4 PWW. >.>

Yea, besides the few remaining PWW members, can't say there's much alliance competition :/

I am assuming your refering then to your Battle group when you say there is no alliance competition.

Cause on nightfall battle group the guild one of my 39 twinks is in pretty much can run 10 man premade most nights and we have organised premade nights every sunday and thursday against other horde guilds.

So it ain't dead every where.

horde pugs always seem to zerg better than ally pugs, for the most part. plus, horde generally has more twinks in their pugs. weird how that works, since most servers are alliance-heavy.

I haven't been online for a while but I have heard on BL forums that Alliance win most of the BGs at 80. Well the guild <OS> from BL (a highly respected ally guild) is pretty much dead because the guild leader and a lot of other members all play there 80s now.

I'm just thinking that people enjoy winning and would rather play there ally 80s then there 39s which therefore ends up hurting the alliance 39s.

p.s. Kayes get OS rolling again plz.

The reason OS members don't play their 39s anymore is not because Alli is dead/inactive. Alli is inactive because twinks/guilds like OS left to play their mains.. Durrr get ur logic right! :p

tbh 39s in reckoning are increasing their activity now. we just got a few horde players to xfer to one server and we're going up against a couple solid alliance guilds. kinda weird how other battlegroups are dying, i dunno it hasn't really declined here at all /shrug

As Druiddroid stated, Reckoning is becoming more active as of late, but its not to say we didnt take a hit ater 3.1...atleast horde side it seems. FE somes semi-active but havent heard of puting up 10 mans like they used to. MS and TTM are almost non-existant it seems as of lately. But BB is gaining members/activity like mad. As for alliance, seems relatively the same with one guild putting up 10's consistantly (Below Me) and others such as AoaR have the capabilities and do. As for q' times, during peak afternoon hours, there 1min or less.

It's been awhile since I played in the 39 bracket (during the reign of 2.4) but even back then, bloodlust alliance had serious organizational problems. I made my first twink there, a resto shaman, and will probably bring her out of retirement when I get more time (and can find a decent bloodlust server with friendlier people for alliance 39).

Bwappo

From my own personal experience, I'd rank the battlegroups in terms of overall twink activity/skill as follows:

1. Cyclone

2. Bloodlust

3. Nightfall

4. Shadowburn

Those are the only bg's I've played 39's in (though I haven't played on Shadowburn for quite some time now). Probably a decent sized gap between #2 and #3. Based on the number of skilled twinks I see per battleground, and guild 10v10 activity

I think you'll find things very different there now, BL probably had or has the best orgainization for premades, atleast if Jayden is still recruiting and orginizing. BL is in the top three best battlegroups for 39's.
