Im gonna be farming 19 greens like Mystic and Demon Band in Ashenvale, anyone know the best level character can be to get level 19 drops?

Not with the new scaling, I was farming on 19 and demon band dropped with 4,4,2 stat line....so 19 ain't the answer.

The issue with say farming with a character even two or three levels higher than the item's original stats (level req, and stats) is the fact that you run the risk of getting a completely useless item. There is not enough confirmed information or reports about how scaling works.
The best most of us have is that if you want something, farm it on the character you want said item on and pray to RNGesus. You can do what many people including myself have been doing and exploring other zones and trying to get items scaled to the lower level character and not the main.
We still don't know if it even works or not, especially with rumors going around about GM item restore abuse and what not. All brackets, levels and classes have a certain max ilvl INCLUDING PURPLES. This is where those EU people were posting shields and what not at level 6-9 with ilvl 32.
We are currently in dangerous territory. We now have people literally holding BiS items for all classes, posting them for outrageous prices all for the possible sake of BiS. That is, if they get lucky. Like I have posted numerous times for bullshit like this. It is up to the GM.
You can potentially be wasting time. And unless we get some solid answers from these exploiters.

I don't know how accurate or even if at all but my theory is level of item you want +5 levels, so for a 19 farm on a 24. Doesn't always apply as not everything scales, and some items seem to have a max level / ilevel.
I tested this very lazily by making a level 25 XP Off Character and farming in the Deadmines, drops were either the original level / ilevel or they were level 20. Never had an item drop for a 19. The test wasn't very extensive.

After a few hours of just farming mobs at with a level 22-23 toon, I found weapons scale different than armor and rings. Weapons were lvl 20 and armor/rings were 16. Scaling COULD change halfway through a level, but that needs more evidence to confirm...definitely starting to look like there might not be a definitive level at which 19 items drop across the board, and there is evidence that some items such as "demon band" might have a higher base level than other items. Input would be greatly appreciated.

you can farm demon band on a high lvl from the chests in sfk, they dont scale and will give you a 19 version.
