Banning allied races can effectively ban a player indirectly. Anyone who race changed their twink, BEFORE RULES WERE STARED (long before), had done so because it was allowed. By banning this later on, that player's character is now unable to participate in the TC. So, they now have to spend more money just to participate in TC or make a new character. That is assuming they didn't reroll over 90 characters, and refuse to reroll another batch of 90 over a twink tournament with a prize pool of $10.
Overall, banning allied races does not help the economic decision making.
Banning allied races also indirectly bans a character.
The fact the tournament 'supervisors(?)' decided to go by a 'MAJORITY VOTE' between all four teams (even managing to misspell one?) and overlooked this is pathetic. Fact is, allied races are in the game and are not a piece of gear. Banning them is simply unfair, and at most a cap should be put onto the amount allowed on a team. This does not fix the issue at hand, however, I do not believe any team has more than two currently. Temporary fix, should just allow them entirely.
As far as race changing through gold, from KT to a different race, this can be said for both sides. In addition, it also proves how players who have the gold available to them MOST LIKELY have a max level character to have said gold and thus have put in an amount of effort equal or greater than unlocking an allied race. Factioning characters works the same way.
