Maybe later in a few years we can do a reunion TC?
Unless people do what they did last year i'm willing to bet that future twink cups will have much larger prize pools, and more perspective teams.

In between now and then The NWL will have more seasons, and the community will create more tournaments.

You're making an issue out of the most OBVIOUS stuff, reply to me explaining why ''jumping on a rock'' is banned?
Even if it doesn't state in the rules, not EVERY single detail is to be found in the rules. Same goes for alot of other things in this world. For example, in the Football rules it doesn't say to NOT STAB A PERSON. Because it's obvious and the consequences are clear.
You have to use your brains some time, your ignorance is blocking your view!

It actually covers violence in the rules of Football.

To answer your question, Jumping on a rock is banned atm because it's 'A Jump' by the current definition while not being covered in the Video.

"Obvious stuff" that should be banned should rather be in the rules than not.

19s will melt like ice in a hot summer day with Legion hits, you can live in denial and let the impact be harder than it should.. or you can start preparing and accepting the fact you have to move on!

19's wont die, we have no idea how Legion will impact our community, but let's save that discussion for another thread

MM hunter was unbanned a while back in the same meeting as the double boomy ban.

Why'd you unban Double MM Hunter?
Double MM was banned? I wasn't aware that it was, probably why it got overlooked.

Can anyone else confirm that at one point in time between last years Twink Cup and this years, that it was banned?

EDIT: It has been brought to my attention that i was present at the meeting where double MM hunter got unbanned, i don't recall the discussion but multiple people who was also present have confirmed that for me. This means that it will remain unbanned.

RECENT CHANGES TO THE OFFICIAL POST:

Discord is the compulsory voice client that you must use in games that are to be broadcasted. Discord servers are hosted on various centralized servers making it impossible for other players on the server to obtain your IP address and thus safe from DDoS. This does not mean that you cannot be DDoS'd, it means that no one can obtain your IP address through the program. If you get DDoS'd your IP address has been obtained through other sources.

Every team will have their own designated channel that other teams cannot enter.
(You are welcome to join the NWL Discord any time you want!)

All players taking part in the games being played MUST be in their teams respective Discord Channel. Teams can choose whether or not that their channel can be accessed by ANYONE during the Warsong Gulch games INCLUDING the Broadcasters, Commentators or Event Organizers. Whilst the games are in play team members are permitted to have their microphones set to MUTE but NOT set to DEAFEN.

All players are expected to ensure the safety of their own connection. We at the NWL advise that on the day of the tournament that you change your IP address if possible and to not use programs such as Skype or any other program that can expose your IP address until the tournament has ended. Do not forget to remove/sign out from such programs on your cellular devices that are connected to your internet connection via WiFi. If you have a static IP address you can contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and ask them to change the IP address for you. If your ISP refuses to change your IP address, threaten to cancel your internet plan with them and that will nine times out of ten persuade them to change the IP address for you. We recommend that you ask to speak to the on site Technician and explain that you are suffering heavily from DDoS attacks (even if you are not) and that your current IP address is unusable and that you may as well not have an internet connection at this point in time because of it. This will further convince your ISP representatives that your circumstances are plausible enough to get an IP change.

Updates we made based on a meeting that took place whilst all of the TC Committee and all of the Invited Team Leaders were present.

TL;DR: Use discord, you bunch of whiny babies. It's safe, easy and hassle-free since you can just use it in your web browser.
And you don't even need your mic enabled if you're afraid your girly baby voice will be made fun of on rebroadcast from all your squeaky cussing.

Also, wrap your routers in tinfoil, or barb'll getcha.

people dont care about voices being heard - they care about strat leaks

ie if u find out who is the target caller from the replay - you focus them and that takes a massive force out of their mid play

current midcomp is spreadfest, target calling has a minimal impact on rot. People just die to boomy warrior double disc BMs tossing damage out on everything in range... hardswaps are barely even a thing now compared to last year's meta.

What amazing korean strategies are being devised in secret for the TC? And how are they going to be countered specifically by voice com "leaks" on several minutes worth of delay(and only being broadcasted in key snippets chosen for entertainment/emotional value i.e. play reactions and cheering?) after they've been used at least once in-game?

example: "lets turtle in base for first cap guys, wipe them and fastcap" -- 3-5mins after they started doing it, the surprise is ruined!
or: "kill that boomkin, he's overextended with zerker" -- AH HA now we've caught on to your strategy and won't have our boomkin frontline with zerker!

Or even for your example, isn't the target caller usually a melee? I.E. the two that are *always* focused regardless? What are they going to do, try to kill the warrior/bm harder?

Forreal mt. everest is being made out of an anthill right now.

Though I guess people who've never used discord might be wary, kind of like how my stepdad has nothing on his computer but solitaire and Diablo II because he's afraid of hackers stealing his bank account, and can't be reasoned with.
