An idea popped into my head after me and HB were brainstorming about his 10v10 premade idea. While I have personally not tested this method, i have checked with quite a few ppl and it seems that they all agree. This idea stems from two facts,F2Ps are able to transfer their characters to PTR, and in PTR you can que for battlegrounds. If anyone has tested one or both of these and found they are false please explain. However if these are true, it could change the competitive scenario in this bracket. Not only can this be used to have 10v10 organized premades que faster, easier and with 0% of failure, but it can create our own bracket. Only people from TI, or ppl who have been told by TI members, would know of when to que. We would have specific times where anyone can que making pug games 10000x's funner. Ofcourse now making 10v10 's is also way easier and they can be held anytime!



I would really like some ppl who have f2ps and PTR to test these things, i wont be around tonight and would greatly appreciate any help testing and implementing this method!

I also heard that f2ps who were transfered have exp unlocked, making WSG and AB wargames possible!!

I think this was attempted during cata. The problem is most people wont bother downloading the ptr, and the few that do, lose interest in their 20s because of the access to end game content. Also, like you said there are no restrictions so we'd be seeing alot of chanted/p2p gear even if you manage to get a game to pop. I hate to be a stick in the mud, if you manage to get a solid pool of players i'd def be down.
 
I don't see this as viable as long-term, all the timething, but organizing 10v10s/5v5s/Arenas? Absolutely. Nobody is gonna dick around on the ptr all day waiting for everyone else to log on, but scheduled, it's a great idea.

Yes its possible I recently use ptr. Only prob it queuing for dungeon and bgs at 1-89

Since when f2p can transfer chars? only linked able to do it.
 
Wait a sec, I tought the PTR close when there's nothing to test? And btw I have access to the PTR on my pure f2p and i didnt have any problems i just downloaded the client and started it.

Its been up for over a year. with few shutdowns. free wow basically..

So I have had friends test it for a pure F2P, but he had trouble. You say that you have access on both pure f2p and linked, did u transfer a character from those accounts yet?

I have and nope....i will upload some ss of my pure f2p and my ptr character when i can (im at school)☺

I have fully downloaded the PTR and cannot copy my characters over/log onto my Pure F2P account

Edit: I need some help from someone who has experience getting PTR to work on a Pure F2P account!

have you gone to the character copy/transfer page, that opens your ptr Terms & Policy (or whatever da fuck its called) page.

I don't think so but i also do not know how to access it :O
 
I went to the page, let me specify my issue. I have the PTR fully downloaded on my computer, but the PTR WOW widget under my battle.net account settings is missing, so I cannot begin to transfer/copy my character! Thank you for the help btw I am new to this!

It has never been there. Idk if i need to do something to make it appear etc, or if i simply cannot access the PTR :(
