Mission:

With the twinkcup coming up, and the amount of War Games being played The NWL is focusing on improving broadcasting within the community, our goal is to have as many Casted 10v10s as possible as well as improve other various aspects of our broadcast and Marketing. We completely rely on community talent, so if you think you might be able to help out than send a message to one of the staff members.

While we are primarily based in the US we are more than happy to help hone our craft within all XP Off brackets and competitive environments, if you've got a game you think you would like to be Hosted by The NWL, you can contact @Blackout @lindenkron or @Conq to discuss details.

The Nineteens Wargaming League: Mercenaries
Closed during break​

On This thread mercenaries will register, be listed, and declared, if you wish to register, follow the formats below, if you wish to declare say " I declare " drag and drop user link" as a mercenary for Guildx Vs Guildx".


· Only registered mercenaries can be declared by Team Leaders

· Mercenaries can play on any team

· Mercenaries can play on any character they have registered

· Mercenaries cannot have a character on a teams roster

· Mercenaries can be in any guild

· If you are on a Roster you cannot be a mercenary

· Mercenaries can sign up at any time

The Mercenary system is a mechanism that we hope enables as many people as possible to get in on war-games and have fun, as well as allow the league and teams to be as flexible as possible while maintaining integrity.

In order to register as a mercenary and be able to participate you must post this information in a comment below.

The Nineteens Wargaming League Rule Book
    1. Team Leaders
      1. Teams must be logged on and ready to queue 30 minutes before their series starts
      2. Team leaders will be given a weekend to play on, if team leaders cannot agree on a time on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday than the series is a draw

      3. All players in a game must be on a teams roster

      4. Everyone on a roster must be in the team leaders guild

      5. You can use four mercenaries, they must be declared and registered at least a day before a series.

      6. All team leaders must maintain consistent communication with the league Via XPoff.com and/or Curse Voice

      7. In the situation where a player on a team happens to get disconnected and unable to rejoin the game or “DDOSED”, each team is allowed to request a replay of that game ONCE per series. To be eligible for a replay the games conditions must fall under one or more of the following categories: The gates have been open for 30 seconds or less, if upon entry not 40% of the team do not enter the BG (4 players) they can leave and a requeue shall be granted (if using your replay in this instance requires that more than one consecutive “leave and requeue” is necessary to have both teams inside the game with 10 people on each team that is permitted).

      8. After a team wins a series 1-3 members may be asked to get on the stream for a winner's interview
      9. Rosters must consist of 10-15 people who only play on your team
      10. You may use up to 5 Mercenaries per match

    1. Players
      1. All players on Rosters and Mercenaries must be registered with the League, a non-registered player forfeits their ability to play in future seasons if they are found to have played.
      2. If you are found to be on a guild roster, as well as filling mercenary rolls that player will be disqualified for the rest of the season
      3. Any behavior that would be considered strange, mechanically manipulative, or non-objective oriented is not permitted and may result in a penalty

      4. You can play on any toon on the account that your character on a roster is on

      5. You may only have one Landslide weapon equipped at any one time (including offhand).

      6. Arms Warriors cannot have more than one crusader proc at a time, and are prohibited from using landslide in conjunction with crusader

      7. You are not permitted to switch between weapon enchants of the same nature at any time (Offensive benefits, Defensive benefits). Offensive Weapon enchants include any enchant that enhances or increases damage in any way. Defensive Weapon enchants include any enchant that increase your character's defensive stats or its proc effect increases your overall defense. For example; you can NOT switch enchants from Crusader to Landslide or Elemental Force or Potency enchants or any other enchant of a similar nature. All classes can swap to defensive weapon enchants as they choose.

      8. A team may only have; one brewmaster, one boomkin, one arms warrior, two stealth classes (not including resto/guardian druids) and a maximum of two of any class regardless of spec

      9. Feral druids are not permitted.

    1. Jumps/Addons
      1. (All jumps not in this video are not permitted), All tunnel, fence, and stump jumps are allowed, excpept this stump jump: http://i.imgur.com/lXrmwqW.jpg and people are allowed to use jumps to take them anywhere on the map that they would be able to get to without jumping. Using class abilities, goblin jump, toys, or anything else to take you somewhere that you can only get to using these abilities is not allowed. All graveyard jumps are not allowed, including jumps using the new fences and wall jumping to get inside the graveyard from below it. The following video provides an example of some permitted jumps.

      2. Deadly Boss Mods is not allowed

      3. No software violating Blizzard’s ToS is permitted

      4. No jumps around the graveyard area are permitted

      5. Any jump that takes you from the ground level of the map to the graveyard or onto the top of the graveyard are prohibited.

    1. Management
      1. All roster changes must be reported at least one day before a team's series on this thread.

      2. If two competing teams are of the same faction, each team will play from both the Alliance and the Horde faction's side ONCE and in the event that the series comes to a 3rd deciding game, the faction side that each team will play on in that game will be determined by coin toss.

      3. Any form of abuse towards the hosts, commentators or any of the authority will not be tolerated. It is each player's job to be able to communicate with this above listed people with respect and to be as cooperative as possible. This is deemed NWL etiquette and an individual or a team may receive cautions or any of the league's punishments depend on the severity of the abuse.

    NOTE: This list of rules is eligible to be added to, edited and taken away from at any time deemed necessary by the ruling committee.

Hope there's a lot more wargames to stream coming up on the TC! I don't even play right now lol but I enjoy watching. Hopefully the announcers/camera controllers get some more practice in before the main event, some polishing up on the presentation will definitely help viewership down the line :)

One big note on the interface, a timer implement(even estimated) overlaid on the "we'll be back" or "starting soon" splash screen will help viewers know when it's safe to break off/return(or even skip forward on the VOD when it comes down to that) and it's something you see in other, more professional stream presentations.

That and maybe a bit less instant replay action when big things are potentially going down in real time. I remember seeing an FC went down RIGHT before a replay, and it wasn't covered by either announcer and pretty hard to tell what even happened.

Overall looking great, however :) Like the changes to the interface a lot, looking really smooth! Hope this upcoming TC will be something to remember before legion drops.
