Let's see ... What have I been watching/reading ...
Bleach : It's okay, don't let all the shitty arcs in the anime turn you away from it. It's good, but I don't obsess over it like most people.
FLCL : Hands down: the best anime I ever watched and best manga I have ever read. I know it is old and most of you have seen it, but it really has stood up to the test of time.
Fairy Tail : Really enjoying this manga a lot. The anime was ... meh ... So I suggest skipping the anime and picking up the manga.
Death Note : If they didn't kill 'L' off I would have liked it more. It was good before that, but nothing amazing. I liked where they were headed in season one, but once 'L' kicked the bucket I really got pulled out of it. I drudged through season two and was glad they stopped it there. Very predictable and not as good as people make it out to be.
Soul Eater : Again, great as a manga, meh as an anime. The manga does a good job of doing a lot in a short span of time. No having to read 7 issues of training, it's all very well done and it has a great cast of characters.
Highschool of the Dead : Really great zombie manga and a great zombie story on top of that. I have read and watched quiet a few zombie/monster themed books/shows in my time and you know it's good when you grow attached and find yourself rooting for the main characters. I've seen so many movies and read so many books where I just wish the main character would be killed already. Also, some how, during even a zombie apocalypse, Japan manages to show at least one panty shot per every 5 pages.
Welcome to the NHK : Another old anime/manga, but a great one none-the-less. At first glance, a very weak storyline, but the further you read into it you realize just how great this is and how relatable the characters are.
One Piece : Very interesting, but I am so behind on the manga that it isn't worth continuing at this point. The anime is okay.
Nana : Another guilty pleasure of mine. A great manga with an even better anime. It's one of the few animes I will watch in English over Japanese. Great story and very heartwarming.
School Rumble : Both the anime and manga are good. Nothing to great, but it does have it's moments. Very hit or miss.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya : A great anime and manga series. Great cast and great plot. It does become one big mind-fuck and the 'Forever 8' episodes made me want to shoot myself.
Ouran High School Host Club : Yet another guilty pleasure of mine. Love the story, love the cast, love the drama/romance. All around great, both anime and manga. I'd also rather watch the anime in English.
Zatch Bell : Both the manga and anime are hilarious. It has a great idea behind it and the both the show and anime aren't afraid to be serious and then the next minute start goofing off.
Buso Renkin : This anime teeters on the edge of absurdity. The line between ridiculous and dead serious is almost blurred in this anime, but it never gets too serious nor does it get too crazy and unreal. It's another great anime to watch.
HunterXHunter : A VERY good anime. I watched the entire series and then read the manga (it picks up where the anime ends) and it was not bad. The Antlion (or w/e) arc is ... very graphic ... I think it is a little to graphic to the point where you are like 'I get it ... They just slaughtered an entire village of innocent men, women, and children, minced up their bodies all together, and ate them. When is the plot going to move forward?' The series keeps going on hiatus too, but it's still worth a look.
Naruto : Utter garbage. I do not know why this is still around nor how people can stand this catastrafuck of an anime/manga. I started watching/reading this when it first came out and it was not that great, but bearable. It then turned into DBZ but with ninjas and became complete shit. I don't understand the fandom behind this; the cast is generic and one-dimensional and the plot is boring.
DBZ : Dragon Ball is good and I could stomach DBZ up till Frieza, but anything after is BORING. 15 episodes of them training, another 29 for them to power up to their maximum power level, and then half an episode for the fight. COM. PLETE. GAR. BAGE.
That's pretty much all the anime I have been watching and/or can think of off the top of my head.
