hello u.s player base

with the 2020 spread of COVID, we're also seeing a plague spread across our beloved 39 bracket. I am of course talking about the region split, and and influx of demoralised twinkers unsubbing or sad that activision bliz has seemingly left their bracket for dead.

i have come here to say fuck that. we can not stand round idle, watching one bad administrative decision destroy all the work we have put into this community. what i am here to propose is a solution to our alienation. a cure to this epidemic

it's simple, move west, it's the new hub. Whitemane alliance is popping. there is word from rommel that his skerem boys are xferring there, along with a small parade of others from different servers. Alliance is dominating games and it is now up to HORDE to transfer West to bring back the bacon and revitalise competition. What happened to the days where horde won 65-75% of pugs? it's up to you to make this happen again. A few of our WM boys will make horde 39s to help out. it's time to re-energise this bracket and get competition flowing smoothly again.

where to transfer? there are 3 main horde hubs on West

1. Whitemane
2. Fairbanks
3. Smolderwebb

BEFORE YOU TRANSFER
1. if you plan on getting agm / tidal, get it before you come
2. bring as many twink items over as there are on your servers AH. they will have a high resell value and generally boost the communities resources

If you can not afford the transfer, then make a level 1 and get in contact with a guildie on your preffered server. there maybe a chance for them to help you with runs, enchants and gear for a new twink. @Painintheaxe and Apextwins have also suggested they will each fund 2 transfers for good horde players to come west.

EU didn't get split battlegroup so why would they join a split US server now?
 
So alliance is dominating on West, and you need more horde twinks.... so more alliance twinks are transferring there. Makes sense.

This. If these sort of changes cost Blizzard money in subs instead of gained them money in transfers, they would never do them in the first place. The not-so-bright portion of the community is what allows this to happen (and of course, they encourage others to do it too).

As someone else pointed out when this was brought up, even if 250 twinks transfer that's about $6000 in revenue. Not exactly the kind of thing that guides Actiblizzards bad decisions. It's far more likely that it was based on infrastructure costs associated with adding AB without splitting the battlegroup. I'm sure they were able to save a lot of money localizing East and West.
 
Yes, we should all go ahead and either quit the game, or stay in uneven battlegroups just to deny blizzard a few hundred dollars..
This is not smart man logic. Your decision to not give blizzard your money changes nothing, but your own gaming experience. If you're pleased with your battlegroup then by all means do what you want man. But trust that the zoomies at blizz aren't going to notice wether you do or not
Paying 25 bucks so I may continue to bg with my crew is more than worth it
 
Yeah the dollars we are talking about are so immaterial to Blizzard.

Fact is Alliance West is well organized, with plenty of twinks. If Horde can band together in a similar manner on West, it will let us all have a strong twink hub that fosters competition and consistent queues.

Whitemane Alliance alone has 60+ 39s, with consistent 10man premades throughout the week. Any horde who want to organize some premade matches send me a PM, we had some great ones with Benediction before the split, trying to set up with some West guilds now.

Did you ever consider oceanic players also?

They get around 200ms ±30ms on US West Servers, US East 250ms ±30ms.

EU on US West still has a ping advantage over oceanic players.

I'd say collectively US West is the closest to pleasing all parties involved.​

Sounds like an Oceanic issue. Rub some vegemite on your router.
 
A ton of players from WM are Oceanic players including Youb, who made the first migration thread and Doom/cheapthott the Gm's of <Slash AFK> are offering free transfers to 4 active twinks wiling to help fill the ranks on horde side. Take advantage, lets get some 10v10's going like we had vs benediction before the split. Were also getting an influx of xfers to Bigglesworth from us WM alliance players with horde on the east coast.

Yeah west almost constant games happening every day. And yep, best ping for all Oceanic players. If you had to make the choice, it's a no brainer. Be nice to have everyone under one roof
