The Goblin age is over. Most of us know that already but people keep asking about it so I thought there should be an expressly clear statement on here about it. I hope this clears it up for any returning players.
You can still make a Goblin lvl 1. Recruit-A-Friend and Warlock summons still work to lock xp, and you can still Hearthstone back to Kezan and quest. There is no point Hearthing back however, as once you arrive at The Lost Isles, your character will be bricked. Too low a level to accept the first quest and remove the "Near Death" debuff, and there is no gear worth getting from the previous area.
Even Game Masters are not able to fix characters bricked this way. (At least in my experience)
Edit: GMs can teleport you out if you make it to this quest as a NON-Goblin ONLY.
It's a sad thing to have lost, but we've been losing stuff since forever. Power on my level 1 friends!
