The Future of the 19 Bracket

Ya Pizza is a massive douche.....this is hardly new news. He has been a douche since the first time he stepping into WSG.

Though honestly the bracket blows and I haven't qued more than 5 games in the last year.

What will help the 19's is enough people focusing on building the bracket. With enough activity the issues that result from a condensed cesspool go away on their own. The big turd is not so big when the pool of players is large and growing. Often "big turds" are just deficient ego's seeking attention in a vain attempt to fill their weak self image. If players that want to see the 19's successful stop doing the things that detract from the bracket and start promoting it will help the momentum from Blizzard fixing a couple of issues.

A couple of things that are important to the success of any recreational competitive league are:
  1. Quality competition
  2. Challenging activity
  3. Fair play
  4. Enjoyable to play for the greatest amount of players possible

Some things that players do that hurt the 19's:
  1. Negative talk, emotes, etc. Is trying to take someone else enjoyment of the game fun? If it is, ask yourself why...and where it takes the game you enjoy.
    <
    (see #4 above)
  2. Abandoning your PuG or Guild team for any reason internal to the game. It damages the team, steals a contest from the opponent and sends the wrong message. Duels are individual contests, WSG and AB are team contests. Players that are all about themselves and put themselves ahead of the team, PuG or otherwise, steal from both their team and their opponent a quality contest. The quality of competition suffers.
    <
    (See #1-4 above)
  3. Farming inferior geared players demonstrates one thing; a lack of perspective. Using an unfair advantage against another player undermines all 4 points above and is one of the single biggest reasons twinking is hated by typical WoW players.
    <

Some things that players can do to promote the 19's:
  1. Do no harm by doing anything mentioned above or that damages points #1-4.
    <

  2. Introduce new players to the bracket and help them gear up and learn the game. Players do what was done to them. Start a trend...
    <

  3. Avoid talking about players that detract from the game. It is like feeding trolls.
    <

  4. Organize events, times to play, places to play, world events, etc.
    <

  5. Be active, and give your team the best teammate you can be and your opponent the very best contest you can, regardless of how tough it might be.
    <

  6. Be patient. Building anything takes time.

The one main thing that i agree with Crit on is the AFK. Honestly with how ques are looking atm, why would u leave a warsong, when its gonna take you like 15-30 minutes to get another one (plus the 15 minutes you already have to spend waiting) when sometimes the game ends 5 minutes after you leave? I understand getting farmed isnt fun, but the game will probably only take 7 minutes if your getting farmed. I just dont get people who afk...

Props to all of you who play that shit bracket on regular occasion. I seriously mean that and no sarcasm intended in the least. It's all just nostalgia at this point in the game imo. I'm trying to hold some optimism for the bracket when the expansion rolls out... but who knows.

Followers chase action, LEADERS create it. Followers complain when things are not the way the would like, LEADERS change things. Be part of the solution, not part of the problem. I get it for I quit the bracket myself, several times. Activity is part of the problem/solution. I got tired of the challenges Blizzard put on us as well as the cesspool of players left in what was left of the bracket. Don't let the stench of a few moronic players put you off. Blizzard has removed the major technical issues that made it hard to twink.

alot of those WT members where once alliance, they farmed GYs with stacks of healers back then too

azzip... win/AFK rolls what ever faction is winning most, not the only either that does this, many are duel rolled heavy with both faction twinks

no one in 19 bracket should be farmed at a GY for extended time, players by now should know when to not take res and stay a ghost. to keep resing and then whine about it, blame yourself.

btw, if 1-2 DPS with one healer can keep 3-8 players at a GY resing 1-2 at a time and picking them off, it is one of the viable WSG strategies. effectively can make the game for exmaple into like a 7 VS 3 game. don't just blame azzip blame the healer sucking his wiener too.

alliance farm GYs too in 15-19, depends on when you play

Guys / Girls. So far the feedback and suggestions have been really constructive.

In case you didn't read the first post or didn't understand the purpose, this thread is more about what we could do to fix the bracket instead of what is ruining the bracket.

So please keep the post relevant and thanks to everyone that has posted so far.

On a side note, as I write this the guild is 2% away from guild level 18.

On topic again.

I also asked a similar question early in the summer when premade teams on Cenarius sat in que for over 2 hours attempting to get premade games vs other guilds. The games that were coordinated thru vent were 2 new seperate games each time. This happened 2 weeks in a row to completely different scheduled premades. I knew then that premades were not going to happen until a few things changed. Those changes have happened mailny being realid cross server groups, fixed wargames, and the free to play toons not filling up the que.

One of the best solutions I, along with others came up with was to bring new blood to the bracket we loved to play in for whatever reason. Our activity from Made in China guild has been on building an environment and resource to get all twink resources in one spot. In a couple of weeks we should be guild level 20 to have boa helms available for anyone in guild. Thru doing end game Rbgs, plus moving into end game raids and finding competent players we have been able to bring in new blood to a few brackets that have the same play schedule as we do. We are having fun at end game pvp, while promoting twinking as we talk about it in vent and guild chat. Curiousity is killing alot of cats and thus bringing in new players to twinking.

Here soon, we will be able to start hosting 5vs5 wargames and on into 10vs10 wargames etc. INTERGUILD and with friends with realid. From there we will be able to select the better players to have guild vs guild premades.

TLDR: Make more friends with similar interests on your server and help them get ready.
