The end of an era?

Tiger

Legend
Some of the enchants from 5.4 seem like bracket-killers (mongoose comes to mind, for example). With an increasing rift between f2p's and p2p's how do you guys think this bracket will be affected?

My take is that since bgs will suck, there will be a resurge of arenas and ACTUAL competition. I think this will lead to what pvp is actually made for. Where skill actually matters and the people you're playing with aren't randoms or jajas that just want to get KBs. I think lv.20 pve will also grow, and we will see more people trying to explore and hunt achievements.

I think people need to stop acting like the first ptr changes are set in stone. There is plenty of time for this to change before it goes live, considering we just had a patch it could be a long long time.

If bgs suck for f2ps so much that it's not even worth playing, then I'm sure lots of people will just not play. I am one of the people who likes f2p for the lack of grinding involved, which means that after I have a toon I can log in, play games, log off. I want to play for a few hours non scheduled when it's convenient for me, and not have to rely on having a bunch of other people I have to coordinate with and wait for. I don't know how many other people share this strictly casual viewpoint, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the amount of people who would stick around just to arena would be a minority of those that currently play.

Nothing is set in stone, so don't make assumptions.

This bracket has survived much worse, so even if p2p enchants end up being OP, it won't even matter. People will still continue to play, including myself among others because they find this bracket fun and enjoyable.

Let's see how things work out on the ptr before we start contemplating things.

i think the closest thing to ending f2p bgs was the initial change from cata to mop, when holy paladins could 2 shot people. lets just wait and see how things go for now, i doubt anything could top that shitfest

^^ I 100% agree with Tiger and as a f2p myself (most of the time?) I hope these enchants stay just how they are. Maybe people will understand that 20 isn't all about WSG!

This bracket has always been absolutely terrible to play in if you are not premading, just my experience though.

lol it gets worse than u thought lol. This is not a braket ender its the return of the huntard ive warned of this day where arcane shot crits 500 -700 but every1 thought it would never come Muhahahaha arcane shot cost is 30 so it is spamm able lol lol lol . I think the ptr changes will go through because at level 90 arcane shot isn't too much of a pronlem and its balanced but at low level its like 5.0 holy paladins lol.

take note to the post above

Why are people even talking about the bracket ending? The very fact that it is free, and full of clueless jajas, ensures its survival.

I solo queue most of the time and am usually only 24 on my team....so the bracket will continue cause there are a shit ton more f2p than 24s......however once news about these enchants get out that may change.

Not to mention terminally stupid.

Maybe its a stereotype but there's more than a shred of truth to it. These BR's are just terrible, and everybody has taken notice, not just in these forums but even on the wow forums, in both PvE and PvP. I think were all just confused as to why blizzard would lump together people who cannot communicate because of a language barrier.

As a 24 how do you think the bracket has changed, up to this point, since cata, Do you think its easier or harder as a 24 to roflstomp trials? (Serious question, im curious)

JAJA isn't racist it just means HAHA in their country / native tongue. Has nothing to do with racism.
It's not about what it means, it's how people use it. It's being used in a derogatory way. The word "spick" originated from ridicule of the way people with a spanish accent tend to pronunce the word "speak," and today most people would consider that term to be very offensive and racist. How is calling people by any other racially stereotypical word meant to insult them any different?

The more you know :p

Because these are the North American servers, which have always included LA countries because, guess what, a lot of them are in North America. They added Brazil because they were closer to the NA servers than the EU servers (where by the way, the have all sorts of languages grouped up). Yes, there are terrible BR players, and terrible LA players, but check it out, there's terrible NA players too. One of my all time favorite pallies from way back (Agu anyone?) was a LA player. I've seen plenty of great players from BR servers as well.

Stereotyping is bad for you, it limits your perception.

And while I'm always more than happy to educate people in matters of intercultural tolerance.... this has nothing to do with the topic of this thread ><

Damn it,Kearbear stop dominating with your intellect, this is wow, pretend to be an ignorant jerk to fit in the community k?
