The death of 29 as we know it

I can see ab being ACCEPTABLE, but mounts in WSG was never my flavor...it just seems to ruin good flag carrying, you get away from 6 defenders in the flag room but your a warrior with no speed increases? sorry...they can catch you in 5 seconds with mounts now....
 
Natural is an experienced twinkie from the 29's so he completely understands the what the bracket means. I think Natural stuck this issue perfect with the above post as AB is too large and WSG flagrunning is ruined by mounts. The problem is that Blizzard does not care about twinks as they have stated so many times in the past. This is simply them once again providing to the moans and groans of endgame raiders that want to level their healers faster. A combination of recent events has slapped the minority players in the face Blizzard telling those who don't enjoy monotonous raiding to get with it or get out.
 
Being both an endgame player and an avid twink I am really excited about this change for the 29 bracket. It will make me dust off my rogue and priest for sure. Yes it will change WSG drastically, but over all I think it will result in more people playing BGs at 20-29 and that can't be bad. Yes I got my mount at 40 like everyone else some 3.5+ years ago and had to borrow money from an RL friend (sad), but MMOs are all about change. If you don't like it, play a console game.



Also as a twink community we should be proud in what we have done here. As a whole we created a new game out of an all ready existing one by maximizing toons for each bracket. This is something Blizz has said many times wasn't intended, yet they have left it for us to enjoy, so enough blabbering about Blizz not listening to the minority, we are a niche. An every growing one, but still. I would be retarded to think I wouldn't see negative feelings about a change to the game, there always is, but I think this will improve our bracket over all.
 
lol what are you guys crying about? how could this possibly be a bad change for 29s? i don't even understand how someone could even think that this could be bad for 29s.

I will work on that when you start capitalizing your sentences.
 
I thought my 29 resto shaman was something special with GW :< Now that 19 twinks can have it and 20+ get mounts I feel horrible.
 
Why do I see at least 3 posts edited by natural in this thread? Are people not entitled to their original opinions...



I think this is a reasonable change for a battleground like AB but I will continuously agree that mounts in WSG especially in lower brackets are almost completely unnecessary. I thought mounts at 39 would be the death of the bracket as well, but that is not the case. I doubt this will really affect much other than the ability to run flags in a nearly perfect and unstoppable manner by some of us. As for the horseman's reins, at best I would assume that they will be changed so that 40+ will be able to use them with the addition of epic mounts at lvl 40...
 
Personally, I think it will be a change for the better.



In WSG it is kind of annoying when a hunter, shaman or any class with a talented speed increase manages to get just a tiny bit of distance away from me with the flag when I'm defending; if all my cooldowns are off then they basically have a free run all the way to their base as it's impossible to catch them (doesn't happen all the time but I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about). It would be nice just to be able to hop on my mount and try and catch them up again, sure it makes the life of a flag carrier that bit harder but this will just add more emphasis on the importance of good support.



I've only just started playing in the 29 bracket so doing AB with no mount was a new experience for me and personally... I miss my mount. On the few occasions you can convince a team to defend some bases, I find that it takes such a long time for you to get to another base to support them, when they warn you of inc's, that they have already been overwhelmed more often than not by the time you arrive. Just my opinion ofc but I think AB is definately better with mounts.



Overall, I think the 19 bracket is going to be FAR worse off than anyone else. Without even taking into account Hunters recieving yet another buff in that bracket which they seriously don't need... Druids are going to be unstoppable as flag carriers! I haven't been over to the 19 section or spoken to any 19 twinks in a while but I'm sure they are dreading it.
