The Arena Class (new people and experienced people read this)

After seeing Rhae's post, along with a few others, I've come up with an idea to help general gameplay and get rid of those first time arena jitters!

I want to setup a time in game one night a week hopefully, to help players do things from learning the ins and outs of their class, teach people the skills needed to succeed in an arena environment, and have FUN while doing so.

I would love the help from other experienced players as well, to help in gray areas that I may not know about, as I'm always learning new things.

A teaser / introduction of me -

I've never been a successful end game player, I have played endgame alot, but I never wanted to get serious. I have always enjoyed low level pvp. By playing lowlow-level pvp all this time, I've come to learn most classes totow certain caliber. I've learned along my way, that low level pvp is based mainly on positioning and correct ordering of your spells and abilities.

If anyone thinks this is a good idea, let me know. Do not be shy !

I'm up for this. Still might learn how to use Focus macro's afterall... ;)

I'd love to take advantage of this. :)

My Hunter is completed and even with my backpedaling I win most of my duels and 1 v 1 BG encounters But I know I'm not skilled and just an OLD guy playing a kids game... trying to learn strafe when i even log onto the hunter who is shelved a bit while i try to learn how to play a pally. Since the 1 class that seems to EASILY beat my hunter nearly every time is a geared pally.

I saw the thread for making a "Jimmy" and sidelined my previous pally Pokitheals and created jimmy... But I still don't think I can beat many people in Duels yet and my NUMBER ONE Purpose for doing this is to Play arenas since my huntard is banned from them. My 'old' P2P experience was a Lock and a DK for PVP and my Lock actually did fairly well... anything I can do to help i will, but I am excitied about learning how to play my toon from the best...

Great idea... If you're a F2P all we can really do is PVP, so why not get good at it! People need to know how classes play together too... you need to know every class and type of toon and what skills they have and how to fight them. If a Rogue saps a healer and then I DOT him with a lock it goes to waste... Team Coordination is as important as playing your toon.

Glad to see some interest. Ill be on late tonight. 10PM Central time. If anyone wants to get started or discuss ideas.

Ill be on too to get some knowledge although it'll be 11pm by the time this happens for me so its a maybe in attendance status.

Aw, by 10 PM Central It'll be 5 AM and I'll hopefully be sleeping soundly. ^^ Need to leave the house at 7 AM.

I'll sign up for the next lesson / meeting. :D

I want in, but as an euro player, it'll be early hours of the morning, any chance if doing another with more euro based hours?

if i catch you guys on ill always offer my help if you want it. but im just gauging if this is worth it at this point

Perhaps the "Arena Class" could be a compilation of guides submitted by the AP members.

Even some teaching videos would be good, similar to how Wizkid made his Arena videos but for the teaching videos to include notes of what strategy he is using so new people can follow along.

There is so much people can learn outside of the Arena.

I think the problem new people have is that they are stepping into Arena with zero idea what to expect.

For example it might be good to write about some of the popular Addons and how to use them. I imagine the people who are new to Arena are not using Gladius.

Guides that I think would be helpful are:

Arena Addons
Macros and Focus target
Silences, Lockout, and Fake healing
Positioning and LoS
