The forums is a terrible place to recruit people tho. It's chaotic and hard to find anything a new player is looking for (or worse, being told "duuh look at the armory"... where there are 20 different builds and random gear on half the toons in there. Most people don't want slog around here trying to figure out what BiS items to get, they just want to be told/helped to get it. It sucks, but that is the burden of the current players to have to bend over backwards for new ones.
At some point you are just gonna have to look at it as you are "buying" new players... either with your gold or your time. Unfortunately, a lot of them are gonna get raptor striked, have a banner planted in their ass, and then never play again. That is the gamble and the price of leadership.

Hunters are easily controlled and managed. No reason to fear one anymore. They’re no longer top tier. Rogues are destroying them now. 29s is awesome. Shamans are bis healers and can wreck. DH can destroy. It’s a fun time to twink so enjoy it while it lasts. DF will ruin this.
I disagree with having toons on both sides. We need people committing to one side. And we need people queuing.
Too many people flipping. Around 4pm ally face rolls. Around 7pm horde face rolls and ally logs off lol (and go on their horde toon).
I’ll take the losss. Getting kills in a tough game is more rewarding than an easy win. Having 5 people chase me across the map to get a kill while rofl.
20s need to stop queing too. You’re just afraid of change. Or holding onto the past. Or who knows why you’re still playing a 20. The world changes and you need to keep up to make it. Keep learning and embrace the new.

Again, the games play out pretty much exactly like the did at 20. If you look at it objectively it's the same. Stier is Stier just like at 20 and heals are heals, normally those determine who wins and who loses. We can play the "skill matters game", but that is rarely the factor in a team game with random teammates - can you swoop in on some Stier and do work... sure... exception not the rule.
Insane posts like "Rogues have made Hunters not tier1" or whatever from above... that is somebody making a comment that has never played the bracket or even WoW.
It was just levelers before and its 20s now that fill the cannon fodder role... somebody has to fill that gap. It does not matter even if we were all 20 and there were no levelers... then it would just be the actually bad players/players who refused to gear properly that would be the fodder.
You are not going to get rid of that aspect of the game, it feels like everybody thinks there is some magical Christmas land where that happens.

The bracket right now is good... is it great?... no, but it's never really been. I do agree with Glance in that the focus on just min/maxing completely is not needed, there are plenty of stupid trinkets/and even more weapons with dumb abilities that you can go get, you can stack secondary's to like 50% plus, wacky builds are fun (just be ready for the blow back "your wearing fireflash gear!!!!!! duuhahehehahhahda you nub!"

Whoever the fodder is eventually stops queueing and blames the end of the bracket on the top end, that's the circle of life.
As if it wasnt the same exact scenario when they were the top end..... but that was OK. Now it's "unacceptable" (not just 20 or f2play, everyone that ever got shit on with a change) and eventually the bracket dries up. Only hope for this one is the ignorance of f2play that keep queueing or some miraculous balancing act change when DF drops.
But the reality is that even brackets with no fodder die because someone will always get shit on and stop playing.
I will say that 20 and f2play should have some good times when DF launches because everyone with a sub should be checking out the new content.... leaving freeplay and vets here to do their thing unmolested - as they shouldnt care about it. Other than the talent changes and maybe farming some gear there's no reason for those "unsubbed just for PvP" to have anything else to do... there sould be plenty of time for that when the subs come back and "ruin" their games again. Should be a good month for them, I'd think.
edit- as for 29, I doubt any of the current stuff on beta is going live in any fashion of what it is now... as it is, the 2g vendor ToC gear has like 140g vendor values on beta - so yeah. Somethin aint copacetic on that. Lot more changes comin, I believe.

It does not seem to be drying up tho is the issue, the queues are getting shorter as more people just make 29s. You did just let in every single other player that plays WoW into the bracket if they want, they don't have to have some goofy FTP setup, worry about account timers, etc... they just run some dungeons and play (and yes they could have technically done that before, but the incentive is now here because there is already a player base, they are not slogging in some chat room begging for a wargame). The 19s will always have a place as well, but the abilities are so limited there its not fun for alot of people unless they are "hardcore" into twinking the 29s at least you "have more buttons to press". Time will tell, but currently its not looking good for FTP.

But that's the point.... most of those are likely going to be fodder and quit if the f2play dry up. Without someone mindlessly queueing to inflate the queues, it will eventually dry up. Newcomers in the middle of the food chain will leave as the chain shifts to them. It's a shame, because a lot of classes do feel better with the few extra abilities and there's a better variety available.
(speaking of PvE on the gameplay, havent PvP queued anything but classic for over a month.)
edit- I also really like the talent changes for DF, hoping they stay decently viable.
i have twinked at 19, at 39, at 49, at 59, at 70 (yes, when it's a tie in EotS back then, the score would somehow be bugged) solo queuing pugs and also did 70 arena (we were number 1 in our battlegroup, my partner was a r1 glad at max level, so it helped), the current 20-29 bracket is the most fun i have had in a long time.
1, twinks are easy to make and gear, professions are easy to level up, the other day i wanted to make greenwhelp chest for my warrior, i simply leveled up leatherworking on my level 5 bankie and bought the pattern and mats to make it!
2, queue time is decent
3, meta is diverse and games are fun (overall at least 25% of the games i play are pretty close)

How are epic BG queues? Because of my Realm i get no normal BG's, so I usually only play Epic ones.. I had no pop-up since the que separation..

The non-epic Bg's Realmpools are language sorted.
I guess you all play on english realms, which is the most active PvP Realmpool. I'm on a german one rn and it's dead. I think I got a match once, but it was against some weird russian premades. The only way would be joining the que of friend. Usually when I play by myself I only count on Epic BG's popping from time to time.
But I guess this is a break from PvP now. Atleast for my Main chars on that realm. Still annoying that Blizzard doesn't allow F2P to transfer chars.
