The 19 Tink Draft (Rough Draft)

Òreqt

Legend
  • Don't really have time to explain it but split everyone up and force them to cooperate with their team/Guild.

    Winning 7v7 team/guild gets a grand prize

Might actually end up forming some good quality long term guilds in the long run..

And could actually put a lamp under some true skill in the bracket

Wouldn't be any wining about who has the better players because the bracket will run it

Can't be a bad thing to have some organization in 19's for once instead of just mindless queueing endlessly

Plus it'll prevent guild hopping and the termination of guilds, which leads to low amounts of activity

It'd make people want to log on just to practice toward an actual goal which (lets face it) is bottomless dirt pit in this bracket

And it'd give TI a reason to talk smack on cause thses trolls now days suck garbage oils

One of the main reasons i used to log on back in the day was because i new a team like Masta Ballaz was queueing so it made things interesting. And people only seem to stay on when a group of 5 are carrying them. 5v5 are some of the most intense games you can get especially when 4 guilds of 5 are in 1 battleground. I just think tinks have been moving in the wrong direction when it comes to making guilds. We aren't that popular so holding down a team more than 5 actually gets quite difficult. And GM's know that it ends up becoming a nuisance to run.

etcetc... just a thought to put 19's on the map doe

    7v7 wsg wargames?

    Re: The 19 Tink Draft

So you want us to organise 7 man teams and have mini premades simular to DA's Arena Tourny?

    Re: The 19 Tink Draft

only problem i see is the lack of teams
wasnt it only like 9 teams in the 3v3 tourney
a team with the comp they want and all that jaz cuts it down by allot

    Re: The 19 Tink Draft

-It's just the start of the thought, i was originally going to say teams of 5. But i believe you can do wargames with 7 competitors so it would be more legit. Mainly just distributing everyone up equal to skill thought (2 exceptional players) (3 mediocre) basically like military. It'd give people a reason to log on and cooperate with 2 leaders and 3 players of rank.

-To make big you have to start nit picking small. idk if this bracket could even handle groups of 7 at first

    -Amount of teams will vary

    Re: The 19 Tink Draft

I think the best way to make this work is to have as many people sign up individually as possible, then players get chosen at random or like you said try and split it up so (2 skilled plays + 3 average) to avoid complete faceroll. This also introduces the chance of new players being able to play with skilled players of the bracket which could improve their gameplay and wsg awareness. The only problem is that it could be very fustrating for some people to try an play with people they havnt talked to or even played with before. The other option would be RL 7 man rofl stomping everyone.

    Re: The 19 Tink Draft

I've been wanting something like this to happen for a long time. Reminds me of the weekly pickup war games Tombrady setup before, but instead of 10v10s it is 7v7s. Raw Talent would be willing to bring players for this if more are needed to make this a reality.

We're also willing to do 7v7 pickup games weekly against any guilds that are interested in doing some guild vs guild war games.

    Re: The 19 Tink Draft

slap a date down and get a sign up thread going, allocate two leaders per team have them select 5 or 6 each from sign up sheet, teams can be jumbled around easily if the 5 are of similar caliber

could also help build tight knit groups , maybe small guilds of 8 will emerge solely because of this it would def promote more team vs team action in the bracket

    Re: The 19 Tink Draft

    Just say 3/16/013 next Saturday

should be enough time to think over rules, the player base participation amount & anything else

    - Thing is i for one want to be with active players. So i'm not sure whether that should take in effect when doing the draft. Because non-active players only negatively affect active ones

    - And this definitively won't turn into 1 all-star team completly dominating the competition, will be completely even small groups (Number of groups and people in per group varies on # of signatures)

    - And for this to take place all main guilds will have to either split for a little or develop some type of method to help out the draft

Who knows, maybe we'll find some unsung heroes in this bracket followed by the creation of long term clicks soon

wouldn't it be better to put a 1 of each class limit on this? otherwise we're gonna see x2 lock x2 boomkin x2 disc 1 prot everywhere. diversity would be funnier imo.
