The 19 Fury Warrior thread.

I spent a good deal of time beating the hell out of a holy pally with 2 different sets. First set has 1203 HP, 311 AP, 10.56% hit, and 10.67% crit. It evened out at around 100 dps and my pally buddy didn't have much trouble healing through it. Next set is the one I logged out in: 1293 HP, 309 AP, 5.02% hit, and 14.12% crit. That one evened out at around 110 dps and ended up being much more bursty. I had figured hit would be a very valuable dps stat for warriors same as rogues, but after about 15 mins for each set it was apparent that it didn't play out that way in application. I am at a loss to explain my results though so feel free to try it out for yourself and compare, all I can say is that we spent plenty of time going at it for me to be confident in the dps results.

So it looks like we should meet the soft cap firstmost and then focus on dmg stats but dont sneeze on some extra hit here and there. thanks.

I know exactly what you mean; when i tried out the soft cap (5%) and just geared like i did pre patch (however; now wearing the plate BoA) i did end up being able to put up pressure....however this was once i had some rage to burn and a lifetime of waiting for it to happen.

With the hit it was just consistent mediocre numbers rather than BIG WTF CRITZ.

Also riv; i also dueled a paladin; is painful when a 2.9 second Holy light still out heals me :(.

Only a slight pressure increase when sader procs.

Hard to say where warriors stand tbh; but i will be testing whenever i can :).

Edit : http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Draenor&cn=Examiner is my current set up; im sitting at 6.53% hit, 1423 hp unbuffed, 297 ap and 17.77% crit.

I am growing fond of this set; purely because with a rumsey i sit at a respectable 1573 hp, I understand some ppl would take minor speed over 7 stam but nowadays you get kited with or without it; so i just keep the stam. I have a pair of silver linked with minor i use when chasing druid fcs / shamans. But i generally role with 7 stam. Hunters annoy me because once i close the gap and eath the scatter shot they still get disengage but i guess QQ wont do shit nowadays :(.

The dps is pretty nice; managed to crit a 300 WITHOUT sader ! i know!

what's about best race for fury warrior, w8 cata and create worgen =/ ?

Hey Ladolce! Remember me? It's ceruleus (19 mage) from destromath!

Anywho, to respond to your thread: Honestly I've got a relatively geared warrior right now and it's not even fun to play without a healer. I know this isn't answering your question but I would recomend rolling a ret pally, based on how I know you used to play a warrior I think you'd like a ret pally. Especially as alliance u can get Emil's Brand - Item - World of Warcraft , even though u can't get glacial stone any more.

For Horde, personally, I enjoy Undead for best PvP racials. Plain and simple I do it for the Will of the Forsaken.

A warrior's worst enemy is fears, stuns, and other immobilization effects.

Fears being the most common, and with this ability on a 2 min CD it saves my a$$ more times than I can count.

Not sure about Goblin . . need to do some lookin up. Just wanted to share what I like now.

As an additional plus we get shadow resistance . . . something like 29% damage reduction. Along with WotF makes us formidable against shadow priests and warlocks. And don't forget about Cannibalize for those rare times you need healing while on First-Aid CD.

I have to disagree slightly with you guys about hit rating. I do confess I haven't whaled on a Holy Pally for 5 min with different gear-sets . . . however . . .

I try to use Elixir of Minor Accuracy whenever I can, and when I don't use it compared to when I do - Its just the biggest difference . . . my rage generation is drastically higher. Most times I am able to spam BT > HS > BT > HS without stopping, as compared to waiting till I have enough rage for these abilities to become available.

Not to mention, I notice a huge difference in my Executes, which your probably not taking into account with the smash and bash on Holy Pallys.

fochixi mentioned that Battle Trance wasn't worth it. It is. Unfortunatly Blizzard doesn't have an animation effect to show when its active. So i recommend Power Auras. When you can see it proc clearly, you can utilize it more efficiently (as in BT > *Battle Trance* HS > HS > BT ; all in 3.5 seconds followed by an Execute probably).

Oh I forgot to ask. I have been seeing a lot of warriors doing Crusader(MH)/+15 strength(OH). Is there a reason behind that? Has the proc rate of Crusader changed so that duel wielding it no longer increases its uptime?

Or is it just to give an overall boost to damage that averages out the same . . .

For weapon's I duel wield Butcher's Slicers. However if those are no longer obtainable I would go for Baron's Scepter next. Believe it or not - it still hits way harder than SF. I like it because of the added stamina & hit rating . . . however,

The highest dmg weapon for us I've seen is Razor's Edge & or Legionnaire's Sword.

Yo ceruleus. whats the deal?!!? ;)

Yeah, since we played together I've since moved on the smite's mighty hammer with lifestealing in a stamina set... :0 I actually play my warrior pretty competitively, and the reason I want to keep him around is all the grandfathered items i have on him and such. (dual shadowfangs, gutterblade, arctic buckler...) I have a very active guild, which has no problem supplying healbots if i feel like pugging with them :)

Because your MH is what attacks on instant swings, thats why we put crusader on your mainhand, it hits way more often than your offhand. the static 30 AP given from 15str in your offhand far outweighs the greatly decreased chance that a crusader would proc from you offhand. The only situation where dual crusaders would be best would be if your time on target was completely maximized.

For alliance, Worgen will be the best. Followed by nightelves for shadowmeld-charge combos. followed by human for free trinket slot, followed by gnome for escape artist, and draeni at last but are better than dwarves, who look the best.

Lol so true!

Dual shadowfangs are nice... :p

Overall, some good reads in this thread. Would be of interest to many to keep the original post updated (bump as necessary with major updates). I will always heal decently geared warriors. A few quick questions. Rage seems a lot like the ret paladins holy power, it is tough to ramp up but easy to dump and damage. Can you keep rage from diminishing by staying in combat? Such as throwing or shooting? Worgen warriors sound like time on target could improve especially after a sufficient rage pool has been generated.
