I wanna see your guys' predictions
its tough to predict the points, which is why i dont, but your predictions for NE and NO seem way off based off the regular season.
pats put up 41 on denver last time, yet you only spot them 27....they're better offensively than that.
and not that brady is out, but the pats are better than the colts if it came down to it, look what happened with the pats under matt cassel - they have people ready to step up in the system...and they have offense weapons that you dont need to be an elite QB to abuse, welker, grok, hernandez, etc do a lot of the work for the qb.
-pats win
ravens texans is probably close score-wise, though i dont see the ravens losing with their vetern D and decent O...they just need flacco to not **** up. could be a blowout for baltimore if the ravens are firing on all cylinders and yates foldes under the pressure
-ravens win barring huge mistakes
i dont see the saints losing to the 49s, at least not in a shootout like you predicted. 49s have often struggled to put up points on the board (other than field goals), and have relied on a strong D to shut teams down. hell they didnt even allow a single rushing touchdown until the last week or two. but through the air they're a bit more porous, and if they cant get pressure on brees he can cut them apart. so for the 9ers to win they'll need to pressure brees, while at the same time keeping perfect coverage downfield, and then swarm to the ball and tackle the check down man (or whoever he finds open). oh and stop NOs strong backfield at the same time
-saints win
well 34-27 isnt really a stomping, but giants can edge out the packers. they were almost the first team to end their unbeaten streak, in what, week 13? they'll need everyone to step up big time though, on both sides of the ball. they'll need to not have any turnovers and get some takeaways. and also get their coverages right so rodgers cant march down the field in 30seconds and win the game at the end. the packers can put up points like crazy, but their D is pretty soft and mainly relies on takeaways and points off that...so like i said, the Gmen will need to protect the ball if they want to win
-tough call. im going to say green bay, but if new york shows up and plays to their potential/perfectly then they can steal a W here
for championship games:
id take the pats over the ravens. ed reeds coverage/ballhawk abilities are pretty much neutralized by NEs tightend play. NEs line will have to stop the balitmore front&linebackers tho, at least for a little
assuming the giants do indeed lose, green bay should beat the saints, but it'd be a high scoring shootout possibly coming down to who has possession last. if the saints can get some turnovers in their favor they could finish green bays season
patriots v packers superbowl??
it all comes down to ball security and execution with two of the games best at QB and statistically poor defenses, flip a coin and pick a winner
