Twink Cup 2016 Donation Page

As some of you may have heard, we have been working on implementing a donation page on the website in order to better streamline donations for the 2016 TC. Those of you that donated to the Indiegogo campaign will find your donations converted to USD and included in the donation campaign on the website, which helps intertwining the two and give recognition to the early birds among us.

The page itself can be found here, but you can also reach it by clicking the 'TC Donations' button located on the primary navigation bar. When you first enter the page, you'll see a trailer for the TC made by @Squidgy which we vehemently recommend you watch, and just below it we have included the introductory speech originally added to the Indiegogo by @Myrm.

Further down on the page you'll find the progress bar and our campaign goals. The shadowfang will be enchanted as we reach the different goals, and it will visually progress through the following vanilla enchants: Superior Striking (+5 damage), Fiery Weapon, Lifestealing, Crusader and Agility. Each of the enchants have a corresponding goal, and you can read about them by clicking their respective parts of the progression bar, which will open a dropdown with short and concise information about each goal.

In order to explain in detail what each goal entails, we plan on publishing threads at a later date, but we have included this summary to show the community what's in store for them moving forward:
  • 3v3 Arena Tournament - $500: In order to maintain traditions, the twice reigning arena champion and our beloved Australian, Livingforce, will be asked to host and form the rules for an upcoming inaugural 19 arena tournament. Although he works long hours in dark places only to return seasonally to yell in coms, his kindness and dedication in the past is the reason he has been entrusted with the task.
  • 1v1 Tournament - $1000: Most battles that take place in our community occur in the gulch, the arena or on the forum. In order to better ascertain who the best of each class is, we will host an all-star 1v1 tournament, which we hope will separate those who are good in groups from those who are good on their own. Who will best represent their class and take home the victory?
  • Community Spotlight - $1500: Real people exist behind the characters you know, and in order to bring you closer to them, we plan on shining a spotlight on some of the community members. This light will shine bright and intimately, and you might end up seeing sides of them you have never seen before. What will Conq's cleanly shaved face reveal? Will we see a return of the Dancam?
  • Hall of Fame - $2000: In order to give recognition to the many prominent and unique faces our community has seen throughout the years, be they exceptionally skilled, particularly kind or just memorable in nature, we will open up a Hall of Fame on the website. This hall will serve as a place to check up on past and present community members who deserve appreciation.
  • Return of That 19s Show - $2500: An email to which all our community members can submit video clips of their most memorable moments in-game will be set up and shared in a dedicated thread. The best clips will be used in a reincarnation of the old, but extremely successful and beloved series, That 19s Show. Squidgy will again, with your help, be the one to bring this epic tale to the big screens.

In addition to these goals, which we have people committed to bringing to life once they are reached, we will also be adding a 'Contributor' user group specifically for users who donate $10 or more*. This user group comes with a badge, the ability to change your own title and a colored username, whose color will be based on the current enchant we have reached during the campaign. This will bring some more color to the forum and at the same time provide us with a global indicator of our progression. Shortly after the TC we will create a poll for the contributors to decide which of the five enchant colors the user group retains in the future, and we will also add colored usernames to some of the other groups we have available on the forum.

It's also worth noting that the person who has donated the most at the end of the campaign will receive a gold contributor badge and be given the option to choose their own uniquely colored username**, which will become GFd moving forward.

Sincerely,
XPOff

*Adding people to the user group will be a manual process that is completed once payments have been confirmed. We'll try to add people as quickly as possible, but please don't be alarmed if you're not added right away.
**Some limitations will apply when it comes to picking the color, as it has to blend properly with the forum and be readable to others, and as such will require approval from the staff members before final implementation.

The contributor user group has been implemented and handed out to the first batch of donators.

The color of the user names has been updated to correspond with the progression of the donation campaign.

Still love this thread, I think you should hyperlink it into the Donation's Page somewhere with a line about "See our milestone's here". Would probably draw more attention to this thread and also remind people what the goals are :)

You can click each of the colored sections of the progression bar on the donation page to see a dropdown with information on the milestones. This feature isn't exactly obvious, since the only indicator that they are buttons is a cursor change when you hover over them, which I in hindsight could have improved.

Damn I didn't even realise! Sorry for pointing out an oversight which you didn't even make xD

The color has been updated once more. It only took us two days to move from the previous goal to this one, thanks to some extremely charitable community members.
