Tauren Paladins...

Gnome Priest is all right,

Tauren Priest? What the hell?

Why not ?

This will probably be the end of my Warcraft days.

Pretty much twinky. I was thinking about this some more, and Ramune - you're right about the goblins - I guess gadgetzan everlook ratchet booty bay and shit will all just stay netural? Im just angered that horde get goblins, pointy-eared faggots belong on the alliance side.

as for the classes...looking at the very strange class combo's made me think of R.A.Salvatore's Forgotten Relm books and Pikel the dwarven druid (I <3's Pikel) - a dwarf, who devouted his entire life to the natural balance of life and other druid teaching, became a druid. If you are required to do like 3000 quests (all of which you are forced to read and there isn't quest helper for, and it takes like 5 months to complete) that are required for you to become something completely odd to your race, then I would be for it. But knowing blizzard, and knowing human beings even more - this will never happen. People would bitch and complain because they have to work for something - so i am standing by my original statement. Except Dwarf shamans...now that I think of it it makes a lot more sense than some of the other ones

pretty surprising that twinks, who i assume play for pvp, are possibly quitting cause of lore >.>

I care for the game more than I do for the pvp aspect, I used to be hard core end game, and i've only recently got into twinking (end of tbc+wotlk) - it's more of a personal thing really, i'm not quitting because I can't twink or don't enjoy pvp, im quitting (if i do) because the whole morale of the game, the whole reason I like mmo's is being smashed into chaos and greed by this.

I have never used quest helper or any other 'make leveling easier' mod, and I read every single quest I do (unless ive done it 10 times and have it memorized) - and thus I just naturally become attached to lore and RP'ing (although ive not done much rp'ing)

I just dislike where blizzard is going with this, it just ruins the entire gaming experience for me...or I believe it will.

Well how do you explain Dwarf Shamans then?

Hmm???

Wildhammer dwarves have shamans.. Because they're like, wiiiilid and stuff. And hammers.

So far, Boubouille's only source is somethingawful.com. I don't believe a word of it until I see it in nice blue letters ;)

also, i think the idea of the kalimador/eastern kingdoms changing is actually a good thing for lore. i mean, it's been 5+ years, something has to have happened :p

I love the WoW lore, and Blizzard made it, why would they destroy it ? Im sure they will come up with something explaining the Tauren palas and the Dwarf smanas etc.

yes, they do milk WoW for all it's worth before launching the their next MMO, but I don't think they would kill the lore intentionally. that's what I think tho, could be wrong, but it's what I hope.

It's been said a million times regardig dwarf Shaman... WILDHAMMER CLAN!!! That lore is in place. In addition to that, Dwarf are descended from Earthen... I distinctly remember a quest involving the commanding of 5x Earthen with Shaman abilities.

Tauren Paladins will likely require additional Lore while Tauren Priests could have a loose association with them Spirit Walker Tauren of WCIII:TFT... but most likely just get tied in with the Pally related lore.

Gnomes just would love a healer.

Trolls are no strangers to shape-shifting.

Humans (And by extension the undead) have ranger type characters in a handful of regions (Trash pats in Deadmines). WoW Logic dictates that Ranger = Right to have a hunter class even if rangers aren't technically hunters lore-wise. Also, the Forsaken's upper echelons of power consists of a number of Dark Rangers... hell, their racial leader is on. Her champion in EPL is an undead human Dark Ranger.

They plan on having the World of Azeroth evolve like any setting should. I hardly believe that adding new lore to expand long standing aspects of the game will ruin the game or the story.

Human Hunters are exempt from that statement however. Seriously, detect hidden, perception, flare AND a freed up trinket slot.

Doesn't Blizzard always alter the lore or find some way to make stuff fit anyway? Like I'm pretty sure they did that with Dalaran and Naxx when they suddenly moved to northrend...

Good 'ol blizz :/

On the topic of tauren pallies, there ARE argent crusade mobs that are tauren. And isn't it true that all of them are paladins? The Argent Dawn members I mean?
