Subjection [39 mage video] [2v2/3v3]

http://warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=107423

Thank you for the uploads Boostz! :D

^ that's my latest video. I spent far more time on it than I did with my others, so i'd appreciate you watching it.

yeah, mistakes are made. yeah, it's not perfect. if you're emo enough to throw a fit about the imperfections I sincerely suggest you skip this one.

it's ALL arena. 2v2/3v3 as mage/mage, rogue/mage, and rogue/mage/priest.

made for entertainment, nothing more.

hope you guys enjoy it. if not, i won't post any future videos here and you guys won't have to be annoyed by it.

take care ;)

Awesome video. Should have used some of the mirror match clips imo, not the ones where Asper insisted on playing his rogue. Clips where your team has a class advantage/disadvantage are nice and all, but I think mirror matches where any advantage or disadvantage you get because of that are limited, show a lot more skill.

WTB front page link for this one.

I was really disappointed with the way I played in our mirrors :( Sorry if I misrepresented you in this video, wasn't my intention. We'll have to get some more games in soon. :)

Also, thanks for the positive reply. :)

I didnt feel misrepresented, I basically did the same thing either way, try to get in combat asap to avoid sap, then dodge polymorphs and CS's while trying to keep my rogue up.

A very good movie. Seeing as I'm making a 39 Mage myself this is nothing but a great source of inspiration for me, because you seem to play your character almost to the very extent of its limits. (Added almost only due to the recent "which class is hardest to master"-discussion, it's made my whole life difficult lol)

I liked the video quite a bit. Better music than a lot of videos circulating at the moment. I really do not like X-Perl frames, but a vast number of people seem to prefer them so just my opinion.

I'll be playing a Mage in the same bracket with a similar spec (mostly fire) so some good tips there. Keep it up.

Wasn't that impressed really, not watched any of your previous vids so didnt have an expectations, but I play a mage myself so I was looking for a few things.

Firstly I cant say I was happy with any of the teams you faced, if they werent a pretty much unviable setup they played very poorly in several different ways, i kinda found it was always one of the two. You played ok, seeing as the fights you were either arcane or fire and with a rogue/mage the reaction skill cap is set pretty low, so i'll leave it there.

With rogue/mage you can drop targets in 5 seconds, to even get a decent game I found out requires your opponents to not quit from the stress of getting gibbed by multiple amounts of CC and get a solid strat, down to having a movement path needed to take to even have a shot ;x pretty hardcore, anyway /rant off, I felt none of your opponents had much of a clue on what they were doing, I think most of my guildies can vouch that the word(s) i use most is 'DISTANCE FOR FUCKS SAKE' :p

If you went frost and went vs some setups that really to take rogue/mage to the limit, i think you could come out with some decent footage, teams with rets can usually do just that. And as for 3v3, RMP is insanely strong, I'd like to see some hunter/ret/healer games for you to try, as you can see the synergy just oozes from that setup.

So yeah, thats me pretty much fine-combing the vid, no flames intended, just wanted to vent my opinion on it, hope it helped for when you make another one :)

Yeah you play a good mage, but no duels? :(( :p

Oh yeah and bit slow reaction to the sap on your rogue at 12:01 or something. Part from that didnt see anything else on my first watch through.

Rez, it's not really that easy to find great players running viable comps. :|

I did mention in the OP that the video was just for entertainment, not amazing competition. I also said rogue/mage was played as one of two 2v2 setups.

Honestly, if I were able to find people to run counter comps and shit like that I would, but it's really not as simple as queing up and getting them. In addition, 3v3 isn't a very active part of the 39 bracket, so even if we got a counter team to que it'd probably be extremely uncoordinated (like our RMP) and end up with varied results.

But yeah, I do understand where you're coming from and I can see how it'd be a let down if you were expecting all that out of a 39 video, but quite frankly I just don't see it happening any time soon. :[

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Yeye I can understand if certain setups are hard to meet due to the condition of your battlegroup, ofc going and asking for teams to queue is a way to get around this. It's not that I was expecting a ton of different hard setups, I was just expecting allot more from the ones that you faced.

Still I don't see why you can't produce a vid showing something better, unless your battlegroup is completely dry, keep at it and i'm sure you'd get what you want.

Ohai Sub, We'll have to see about what 3.1 does to warriors (I hear my overpower spammage spec is getting buffed :p) before any decisions about me Xferring over are thrown around, pretty keen though, I'll watch your vid now ;)

LOL I'll be on in.. a few hours, done 5% of 3.1 in an hour ;D yay...

wru dev?

Boostz is awesome and uploaded the video to a great streaming site, it's now in the OP. you'll be able to stream it there once it's processed. =)
