Heyo! I decided to give retail 9s a try, more abilities than 1s and no spec / talents as on 10s sounded interesting.
Maybe you want to try too with new toon or make your old 19 BiS.
Currently I'm gearing a pally in dungeons, once I'm done I will be looking what's possible in PvE.
You're very welcome to join me on Dunemaul EU. We'll see how far this "project" goes.
I have 2 banks full of req. lvl 8 gear back from SL 1s farming which can be a decent addition to looms until you get better dungeon / boe gear.
All classes are viable but the ones that can heal can be more useful in later PvE kills.

Today we had our first 9s PvE event and managed to kill 3 Outland creatures:
Pit Commander - level 10 elite with 5k hp

Today we had our third 9s PvE event. After participating in Un'Goro Madness event elites we decided to kill some normal elites (those were easy) since we've already been on the south of Kalimdor. We took down two elites:
Tyrant Devilsaur - level 15 elite with 3k hp
