Stats preferences, gearing and other shit for firemage...

Soo I've been looking up some armories and shit (from people I've seen on bgs, and some from the sticky armory thread), and I haven't really figured what's the stat preference for a firemage. I'd imagine it's something along the lines hitcap > pvp power > crit/sp? > everything else? I've been trying to gear towards max pvp power so far only, as I've heard power stacking is the way to go. So if anyone have an up-to-date bis firemage armory and/or could tell me what stats to stack and what not to, would be awesome :)

Here's my mage so far:
Mëssy @ Draenor - Community - World of Warcraft

Still pretty bad with gear and shitz, only dinged 70 around a week ago and it's my first 70, so those are my excuses and PM me if you need to hear more!

Oh another thing, just finished 450 engi today, and I heard there's a glitch for acquiring tinkers without releveling, is it still working?

I appreciate any additional info concerning (fire)mages too, as I'm still pretty clueless about the bracket ;)

Only fire mage who actually knows what he's doing that still plays that rings in my mind is Aranzia: Aranziaqt @ Kazzak - Community - World of Warcraft

No idea if the glitch still works - but looking at his armoury seems he has glitched gloves :)

Been wondering what definition of good player is and now i heard this aranzia dude is good... ok so one thing you gotta remember is to make sure there is always minium of 3 healers in 40 yd range of you and preferably 5+ random dps aswell. Also make sure you never, and i mean NEVER, enter a equal fight. If you are outnumbered just get the fuck out screw your friends, family mother and dog just get the fuck out man! Dying in a random bg is not worth trying to save them.

Also running around like a fucking adhd kid spamming scorch is far superior to casting fireball which would do around 40% more dps becouse it makes you look pretty cool as undead male mage and people think you must be the cool kid in town. like today in eots aranzia 150 scorches cast and 5 fireballs just dont cast it man... even if no1 is focussing you and they are not going to los you ever keep casting scorces man.

Also few tips i picked from aranzia... when rogue accidentally ques bg with assa spec and wrong gear and opens on you when you have 2 healers and 5 dps standing next to you be sure to blink before he uses shadowstep or stuns into full kidney take 40k dmg before the raid group you was standing in manages to kill the rogue (this is why you never leave the group). Also as aranzia so well demonstrated in cyanerds video it is also good idea to trinket gouge into full garrote. Fuck the haters just do your thing man!

Also when you lose a bg as horde be sure to log your ally char right after to make things even more unfair and vice versa. Fuck the challenge just fotm when ever its possible... always play the spec you find most op never bother playing specs that are actually fun. And if guy is asking you to come try 1v1 fucking hell man never do it... ITS A TRAP!! just continue farming that dwarf male paladin with 0 gems and enchants who probably accidentally locked his xp and joined non leveling bg:s at gy 10vs1... its way more fun anyway.

Will keep these things in mind and try to become more like aranzia myself :)

Fire is still a nice specc, and the guy Vapriest linked seems to have his head in the right spot. Besides that you can aim for gloves in swp and do the bug with them, as I did on my mage, and you could switch the chest out with brutal one for resi. Also stay in groups, fire mages are bad as rambo class vs any hybrids :p

Im not sure about gemming, ive had the most success with pvp power but I'll try some int / crit soon and see how that works out

also im logged out in pve gear

Khar going deeeep rofl, i did some bgs with him as fire the other day and he didn't seem shit to me, or rather - i haven't seen any better ones?

its as he says tho :D 100% of the time in bg he is at maxrange in raidgroup spamming scorch 10vs2 like adhd-kid instead of fireball which would be 400% better. which is only one example. can not be arsed to get into the other ones xDD

yee it is elvui and on topic. you wanna crit as much as possible as fire so go pvppower and 3 red/orange gems for meta and try to get as much crit as possible on items. gnomish lightning generator is nice if you're not using that. dont have to care about resilience since you have at least 7 healers in 15man bg anyway

If your horde that is :D

10% - 20% pvp power is more than enough.
You survival probability with pure pvp power or int/crit gems is poor. Each prot pally or rogue can kill you in few sec while you are in silence.

In my opinion you need 68%- 75% resi, hit cap and the rest pvp power. 19,23% Crit unbuffed = 100% crit with all fire spells into shatter.

Ingi synapse springs (480int 60sec cd) or Tailor Lightweave Embroidery (295int 60sec cd) are very usefull to kill a target (80% resi) in one deepfreeze with 3-4 Pyro.

my armory link
Tellana

with this gear you can fight without any help vs 2-6 players. And a kill after another.
