Stats for WW Monk Lvl 10?

Hey guys,

i created my first level stop character (level 10 ww monk). i just want to run some dungeons. my question is: do i have some main stats for dungeons? haste crit?

I know a lot of BM monks like their crit and a lot of MWs like their haste. Vers is the main secondary of choice obviously.

@pokspell is one of the most experienced monks here (if not the most experienced monk here; for MW at least.) he'll have some better information.

Windwalker is not that great compare to Brewmaster. It can have some good damage from the mastery, but you need to spam Tiger Palm before doing anything, which can be annoying in some situations. Brewmaster, on the other hand, has a no cost Blackout Kick, but with a 4 second cooldown (which is not bad as you want to spam Spinning Crane Kick). In addition, you can queue faster in dungeon as Tank than DPS. Both share the same stuff, so you can still play both (I would suggest Brewmaster, but if you want to really play Windwalker, go in!). For secondary, you have 10% base crit as agility user (and with around 2.96% gain from gear no socket/enchant/weapons/trinkets). I would suggest at least between 20% and 25% haste, to have between 12 and 12.5 energy regen per second, then put the rest in Versa for all purpose, Crit to try to get double damage times to times, or Mastery for the attack power (or damage increase for Windwalker).
Mistweaver is in another world, as it's a int spec. You have only 1 healing spell for your teammate, so it's important to have good haste. You have unlimited Spinning Crake Kick, as it costs only 4 mana per spin (and you have 400 base mana (or 420 if Gnome)). I have 25% haste as Mistweaver Monk, and I love it, so if you want to go Mistweaver, 25% Haste, then the rest in Versa if possible. Mastery can be good too can it gives more heal after you cast Vivify.

Be cautious about your Spinning Crane Kick. As Misteaver, your global cooldown follows your casting time, so you'll be fine. But as Agility user, you have 1 sec global cooldown, so if you don't pay attention, you can overlaps your Spinning and waste more energy by the same time!
If you have any question, don't hesitate!

loved this...so helpful ..wish there was a guide like this to explain how much haste/crit/mastery etc. each class/spec needs at different levels of twinking. Would save a lot of trial and error.

I made a topic in the 10s last week asking this. Definitely would help nerwer twinksters with all the nerfs taking away options from all the older guides.

Is there any way yet to get back to the legion order hall once you've left? Kind of dampens the 10 experience...

except if you're a vulperan with your hearthstone Racial set up on the island, you can't go back until Blizzard do something about the portal

HA! The irony being it is Vulpera and i found out too late.... :NotLikeThis:

Annoying, but not the end of the world.

How does anyone deal with running out of energy with BM when just starting soloing and not having the socketed gear yet? Did Hellfire solo, but died 3 times. 2x on trash and 1x on the 1st boss. Found my energy went so fast and needed to pray for good Lifestealing procs as soon as i could afford to spin again. HP is 728 atm.

I always do 2x Spinning Crane Kick followed by a blackout kick... and let the SCK run out before you start the second one...

I found Stockades really difficult too (only messed around to the first boss) because the trash had stuns/disorients... cant remember how hellfire is but it feels like it does too. Difficult to solo... found out my priority was Blackout kick on cooldown over everything else, still can be trouble with some unfortunately timed disorients.

Pretty much shelved it for now, but it wasnt the easiest solo. It'll get better once you get those sockets I bet.
