A lot of geared people Alliance side afk'ed out of this game early on and throughout thinking it was hopeless. Afk'ing in general or sitting out means you don't get satisfying wins like this. I get not wanting to waste time against premades, and yeah there are times when you just "know" that a game is going to be trash and a loss, but sometimes a game is within reach with just a bit of effort and coordination. And of course some good folks can get in and change it completely.

I've been in about 2 games where someone was doing that, I would need to be reminded of his name. In general it is frowned upon but I cannot guarantee that someone would not do this randomly.

there used to be a few individuals that would do it relentlessly and in a WSG without timers I'd just AFK and do something else.

Don't think so, but could happen. Only tbc has been confirmed, and has been confirmed since launch. Feels like it would be silly to follow the same progression style 5 years later.
