EU+US Stat Caps WPvP/PVE

I'd like to understand stat caps a little more. Like are you looking for a hard number on your character page or is there a situation you look for that relates to being capped? I understand that in instances pvp it doesn't matter anymore but I'm still looking to have a WPvP set or two. I've always just followed guides for gear/enchants but would like to actually understand the maths behind it.

There are no stat caps in wpvp and pve? You got it the wrong way around. The only caps, or whatever you may call them, are to be found in instanced PvP, and are related to ilvl only

I understand the template used in instanced pvp. I'm talking about, for example, say I loaded up all crit possible. Is there a point that more crit isn't actually helping me anymore? This is outside of instanced pvp of course.

For future reference, the words you're looking for are secondary stat softcaps/breakpoints.

I guess a better first question would have been if it's even possible to reach secondary stat soft caps a level 19. Or is it just enchant/gear to your preference.

Anything over 100% Crit is wasted Stats.

200% Versa is considered "Soft Cap" as you cannot gain any more dmg reduction but you still boost dmg done and Healing done.

The Haste Soft Cap is whatever your main spam Ability is at 1.0 seconds. Any faster and you clip the GCD. However, you still benefit from Haste via Abilities with short CD's, White Attacks and DoTs/HoTs.

Armor Soft Caps around 44% and at least it used to Hard Cap at 75% but I don't think it's possible to reach that number anymore so no idea if that's still true.

There is no Main Stat Cap of any kind.

There is no Stamina Cap of any Kind.

Avoidance has a Hard Cap of 20%.

Perfect thank you for this! Exactly what I was looking for!

Here's an interesting concept to think about:
GCD can infact go to .75 seconds on every class. Why do you think it feels more spammy on instant classes like melee when you have heroism?
However GCD can only be reduced beyond 1.0 BY effects like Blood Lust so stacking Haste beyond 1.0 sec Cast time on w/e your main spam Ability is can often be wasted Stats, that is unless you're a DoT/HoT heavy dependent Class. This does not count for White Attacks, which as far as I'm aware have no minimum Speed and therefore could be reduced into oblivion if one should chose to do so; think Hunters with a MiniGun.

True. Though sometimes it is not a good idea to be at exactly 1 sec casts. For Disc priests it doesn't really matter for healing anymore, but the extra .1 second will kill you at 10 often enough to want around 1 sec casts but sometimes a lil extra.

Edit: I guess it really depends on what class you are facing to be honest.
