Regarding trials, every 3 months you get 10 days of your next expansion, now that nilla accounts were upgraded to bc, that means only trials available are wotlk and cata one. Doesnt work for cata p2p obviously. Now to reap most benefits, there's also 3 months period of inactivity for Scroll of Ressurection. So your best shot is let somebody cast SOR on you after you've been 3months out and get 10 days free and only after that activate trial for 10 more days. Cant do it backwards obviously as if you activate trial first you reset 3 months inactivity requirement for SoR. So ALWAYS SoR first and trial after that. If you have capped account (BC or Wotlk), that also means you get to play in xp on bg's for that period without danger of lvling to 71 or 81. We used to activate it on our 60 twinks, saving it for WSG weekend, but with recent BC upgrade, that'sno longer an option as you have to turn off xp to prevent dinging. Hope that helped





EDIT: forgot to add, for some reason SoR on cata account is bugged, as it didnt work for me, when i used link for invitation send by friend it told me there's no game in my account i can use to activate it with, searched forum, people say you can call Blizz to fix it over the phone, but since i'm in Europe atm, it's not worth the hassle and waiting on the phone, so i reactivate my Cata one for 1 month just by paying.

Do you know if accounts linked to an active one are eligible? I have my main account, and then a BC only one thats been inactive for close to two months (I think). I kinda forgot to get (most) all my BoA off it before it went down.

I've got all 4 under one account, it doesnt matter, if you go to account management you'll see separate timers there, as well as payment history where you'll see when was particular account frozen, so count 3 months from there and you're set. You should see Free 10 day trial button that is faded out, and when 3 months period is up, you'll be able to click that

i've only ever had 2 emails from blizz (and they were about 6 months apart) offering the 10-day retrial. I don't think I would have written ALL the others off as spam, or do they not email you every time you're up for a re-trial and you just have to log-in and do it??

my original BC account history, not sure if recent panda changes and that diablo 3 offer will mess with that, there's banner in place where the buttons were. This account should be eligible 11/10/11 so 3 weeks from now. i'll keep ya posted

Yes, that's what i was doing, had cata account paid all the time, and used trials, whenever they were up to get runsthrough aq40/bwl/mc/bt/sunwell, 60's are prolly gone because of numerous 64 griefers, but since it was free, it was something to take my mind off raiding and it's still nice to log in from time to time and relive the magic. MB on one computer requires somewhat better machine to be able to handle multiple instances of wow running at once.
