can some one explain to me spirit and mp5 cuz ive heard so many different things about it so i just want to know how it actully works

Spirit increases your mana regeneration while not casting. This means that you only regen mana due to spirit 5 seconds after your last cast that consumed mana.

mp5 increases your mana per five seconds while casting and not casting.

spirit is bad. mp5 is good.

As the post above post says, mp5 is way better while in combat how ever spirit is a lot easier to stack. Spirit is there for more effective while out of combat, If your low on mana.

You don't wanna be found off guard in your squishy spirit gear though:)

The amount of MP5 you have divided by 5 is the amount of mana you regenerate every second under all circumstances. Spirit does the same, with the exception of the five seconds after a spell is cast. A spell is not casted until the cast bar is completely filled! Therefore spirit adds to your regeneration during the cast, taken you haven't casted any spells within five seconds before.

Spirit is not effective at 19 because no 'allows X% of spirit regeneration to continue during casting' talents are available to you yet and you rarely ever go five seconds in PvP without casting a spell.

Spirit also presently increases health regeneration outside of combat (with minor in combat regen for trolls)... really not worth it at this low a level for 19s with two exceptions... Rogues can get away with building a few pieces of a spirit regen to help with health regen in the off chance they do get out of combat to heal up some while remaining a moving target from an actively searching foe when eat/stealth is a risky proposition and bandages being either on cooldown or impractical. The second exception is a spirit weapon typically for the purpose of equiping while eating/drinking to minimize downtime. You don't typically don't want to go with more than just your weapons on the account that if you do get pulled into combat by a random lock dot or hunter shot or a rogue looking for an easy kill, you'll find yourself at a disadvantage in DPS, Burst Potential, and survivability.
