EU+US Speed Twink Armory List (110/111)

Sukhois37 that looks a good twink, and clearly had some time spent on it from your neck level, but it doesn't look like a speed twink, which this is a thread for, are you logged out in the wrong gear or have you misunderstood? ^^

Tavore maybe it's different for other classes but speaking for DHs and warriors that get most of our speed from secondary stat stacking, it really isn't worth the hassle. There's such a severe diminishing return on speed that it isn't worth stacking over other secondaries after a point. Someone plotted a graph somewhere showing it, I can try to dig it out
 
If it was you then you should absolutely know how much of a big deal it ISN'T to not have any speed on a trinket xD

That's a lot. With Vol'dun buff I sit at 1370 versa (57.45%), of course with versa food and versa Cata elixir. Admittedly I don't have versa on all my pieces, and you're Panda so you get an extra 93 versa from food but still. Impressive! How are the rest of your stats in WPvP gear?

If this is advice for warrior speed twinks - they're better off dualwielding the 1h MoP BoA weapons - 4 sockets total. Assuming they have them, of course - I wish they let us obtain them somehow.

Ignore me, warrs can of course dual wield the 2hander...

Well, since Shadowlands alpha has disabled Legion legendaries, I will finally post my speed set.
Well, I hoped that this would have lasted longer...

Honestly, I just did this for fun, I did not farm anything at all! It was much more interesting for me to play my 110 twink than my main character. I even got Cutting edge for Uldir/BoD, but the game was so boring that I quit. I found real progress only on my warrior getting my speed set!
I hope that this community can raise some voices to prevent these changes. Like, why? FUN DETECTED = DELETED, again!

Well, here we go this is my speed set. https://worldofwarcraft.com/ru-ru/character/eu/blackscar/нэйруни . LvL 110, mastery build 200.7% (with no buffs), 201.5% with mastery food. With procs, it can go up to 230%+!
Yep, I play on Russian servers.

And again I hope that we can raise some voices to prevent these changes... And I remember that on one of the Q/As for Shadowlands they said that- "We will not touch characters that players use for farming transmog..."

That's ok, they're not "touching" your character, just the database on their servers that says "Legion_Legendaries_Enabled==1" and changing it to 0 :)

Sorry to hear that Albino, I think warrs are probably hit the hardest due to their reliance on the bulk of their passive speed coming from leggos...

-Post Shadowlands Pre-Patch!-

I logged in my 111 (now 45) DH, he'd dropped from 194% to 165%. With some playing around it seems that where gems used to give so much mastery for me and not any more, my optimal set made from the gear I have is basically equipping speed in every slot, while obviously maintaining the 2 Straddling gems.

With speed on every non-Azerite/HoA item slot I've managed to get him back to 185.8%, there may some small improvements yet. (+100 rating = +24.75% @ 45)
Here's some findings that will hopefully help some!

[Enchant Boots - Minor Speed] can now be placed on items up to ilvl 50, so there's likely 10% back for you!

[Living Steel Belt Buckle] can be placed on items up to ilvl 50. This allowed me to maintain 2 gem sockets while putting a speed belt on. Note, the 2 different Straddling gems require ilvl 50. This belt buckle is also usable on the same item as the engineering rocket boost tinker, they don't overwrite.

[Enchant Weapon - Windwalk] can now be placed on items up to ilvl 50, this is the one that proccs 10% move speed for 10 secs. I tested this with them on both weapons and I was able to see 2 buffs procc along side each other, and they did indeed stack!

There's also a wide new variety of enchants that can now be placed on items up to ilvl 50, leg armors, gloves/bracer enchants etc. None that would affect speed as far as I can see, apart from +8 mastery to gloves for DHs

Also the old BoE 101 Legion epics world drops are now ilvl 50, and these are quite often seen with tertiary or socket proccs. They've been possible to pick up for as little as 500g on my realm for a long time now. I've found this seemingly complete list https://www.tradeskillmaster.com/group-maker/nitybycc
So these could be some items to check out to fill slots with speed rating, as well as BFA world drop greens (ignore crafteds).

You'll still need a WoD cloak to keep the 2% move speed cloak enchant, as that can only be applied on items up to ilvl 47. There are also some WoD BoE cloaks that can drop from raids that can have speed rating.

I haven't been able to test a speed helm/neck/shoulders/chest vs HoA and Longstrider Azerite pieces but I'd wager there isn't a huge amount in it any more... Although I've no idea what new speed DRs are like.

Keen to know how everyone else is trying to pick up the pieces and scrape back what they can! Looking forward to hearing Tavore's speed kittys ms, is there a chance DHs are king now? :O If everyone is on a level playing field with regards to legendaries being out the window, I suppose it's only things like Cat form, DHs mastery affinity, movespeed racials that will set people apart!
