EU+US Sooo, Mistweavers...

Just started messing around leveling one today for sharts and giggles and decided to spec MW for leveling 10-20... I know, I know, that span of levels literally takes maybe like an hour. Anyhow, even though you only have Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick, and Rising Sun Kick, you can hit pretty f'ing hard with 3 stack Tiger Palm move that lets you effectively kick with Blackout Kick four times at once... follow that up with Rising Sun kick and you've done some pretty damn high damage. Considering each has a good chance to crit too, I've seen myself do 2.5K in a second or two with a healer, which doesn't seem too shabby at all.

Coupled with the fact that MW is obviously a healer and has some nice mobility with Roll and potentially even more if you spec the level 15 talent Mistwalk, which lets you dash up to 40 yards with 2 charges on a 20 second recharge.

Could MW be legit in PvP?

Always liked playing MW for its uniqueness style of healing. They were always a little to squishy for my taste. I just had to adjust how I played when played one compared to playing a HPaladin or RShaman.

Just wanted to chime in here since I've been playing a Mistweaver the last couple weeks.

On the plus side, they got an instant cast HOT in 7.1, but it's only useful for topping people off, meaning that you're still going to be hard casting and channeling all of your heals. Those heals are pretty good, but with the insane power creep of classes such as Survival Hunters people will die in the time it takes you to cast it.

Another nice bonus is Cracking Jade Lightning, which is sometimes useful - guarding a bunker in Alterac Valley you can sap a pretty good percentage of the health of someone as they run around the outside to get in.

Overall my resto shaman and resto druid are way more reliable in terms of keeping people alive assuming it's some random group where you may be the only healer, but Mistweaver + Priest is a good healing combo because the shields help give you that time you need to hard cast.

It's not by any means the worst class you can choose, and more healers are always welcome in my opinion.
