Hello there folks...
As the thread's tittle says,we will be talking about Lore ONLY here.
You might ask questions. Share any idea for the new exspansions etc.
I will start with some questions as well :D. Lets begin, shall we ?
Who is the very creator of Azeroth?
Who invaded Azeroth?
What happened to Thall's father,and why?
Who was the one called The Last GuardiaN?
What was the shadow counsil and who dared to destroy it and succseded?
What was the name of the world that Velen and the draenei came from?
What was the word that Velen used to call the other ones of his kin that chose the darker path?
Who is the one that holds doomhamer nowadays ?
Tell me about Doomhamers prophecy.
Whos Llane, Lothar,Tyralion,Khadgar ?
Who is Alleria Windrunner? Who was the one that she loved the most? Shes sister with ....... and ........ .
What happened in Draenor... how did they turn from peacefull creatures to bloodthirsty and raging ones, who was responsable for this?
Whos deathwing ?
Tell be about the old gods and Azeroth's guardians , name the old gods that we already know.
Whos Brox...Broxigar?
How did they manage to defeat the burning legion for the first time, and for the second ?

The creatures that mean threat to azeroth are the old gods and the titan, Sargeras.
However The old Gods hate Sargeras.
And I can say that the power of the united old gods can defeat sargeras.
Our actual big threat is The Burning Legion. Old gods are something but that's the primal threat, we actually didn't defeat any of the old gods, we just pulled them back.... there are rumors of 3-4 more old gods... wait, the titans killed Y'Sharjj . Killing the others would destroy the whole planet.
So these are the only threats we are told --- .
 
Okay well, ill take number 1, i suppose.

Azeroth doesn't have a creator per se, but it does have a shaper, or shapers. In the form of the Titan Pantheon led by Aman'thul. These Titans came to Azeroth and began shaping it in various ways, planting seed races. Putting order to the various elemental planes, and locking away the Old Gods. The lore is a bit convoluted here, as it was retconned in later iterations of the story. A kind of chicken and egg paradox with the old gods and the titans.

As far as my info would have carried me, the initial "Residents" of Azeroth were the Humans and the invaders were the orcs of the orcish clans of Draenor which was then recorded as the First War which crumbled the Human Kingdom which was Azeroth itself (The Human Kingdom of Azeroth) and forced them to flee back to Lordaeron.

The artifact that the triad of Eredar had was the main crystal that got split into eight parts when "the Light" or maybe the Naaru (unclear) used the crystal to power a light shield that saved the dranei from their fallen brothers. You give one to Adal during BC for the title/ for Akama and technically you get to keep the medallion so I guess we have one? I think Adal has one that gives the buff when you turn it in. Durotan used another one to sack the original dranei city and I think it got shattered or something in the ensuing fight? It's the one the little kid picked up that he kills. I assume Velen has a few?

Good answer but I think the question is bad. If you take the residents to be us, the Earthen, the Old Gods, the Titans or humans - you get all kinds of different answers!

You learn in Wrath, for example, that we invaded the Earthen and they consider us invaders as fleshlings

Alleria is sister to Lady Sylvanas and Vereesa Windrunner and she loved Turalyon she split her necklace into 3 giving Sylvanas the Saphire jewel, Vereesa the Ruby, and she kept the Emerald. She is also the eldest of the 3 Windrunner sisters
