Soloing 300 level gathering professions

Any easy strategies for doing this?



I figure I can herb in Cape of Stranglethorn since most of the mobs are at worst orange to me. Khadgar's Whisker doesn't go completely grey until 280 which still leaves 20 skill points needed for 300.



As a 29 it's still fairly easy to kill mobs up to level 35 but I'm not quite sure how high my skinning can go solely from killing level 35 beasts. On my paladin I can easily solo level 35 mobs but on a mage I'm not sure how that's going to work without a direct self heal.



Mining is obviously a joke because you can smelt pretty much the entire way to 300. Even if you are rerolling a level 58 DK can probably get you all the ore you need to smelt.



Any tips or good locations where a 29 can go to get this done are much appreciated and would definitely be a great addition to the information base of the bracket.

i did 280 to 300 herbing in the area around light hopes chapel next to all the grubs. lots of nodes (sungrass) with only a couple of baddies but they seem easy enough to solo on a geared twink.

oh for 20, not possible for a 20 to solo those mobs but they only hover around a couple of nodes.

For soloing herb to 300 on my 29, I stayed in STV until the mid 240's and then headed off to Feralas, getting a few skillups from Sungrass on the border between south barrens and 1k while on the way. Once in Feralas, you can herb Blindweed from some specific lakes all the way up to 300. I stayed at a lake with four nodes and just tabbed out for 5min repeatedly, but you can brave the stretches between lakes as well.

western plaguelands until 230 then you can pick sungrass up to 300 and eastern plaguelands has a lot of that, is my fav way to do it



or like Dori said you can pick blindweed at 235 and there is a huge lake in the northern part of feralas with level 35'ish dragons surrounding it but you can make entire rounds around the lake picking the blindweed and by the time you get back to where you started all the nodes respawned

I went with the Ferelas lake route and it was quite ez on my hpally with squat for hit rating.

I maxed out on blindweed at the first pond in western plaguelands, 4 or so spawn points no mobs you have to kill.

There are pools with Blindweed I've discovered in Hinterlands. Alliance players can take advantage of them easily because one of them is right behind the Quel'Danil Lodge.

you can pop the 70 haste you get from LB and then slice and dice and watch stuff die rly fast

how i up herba to 300. gathering Gromsblood from 250-280 till 300 in ashenvale. few(3-4) respawn this herb in demon fall canyon. mobs about 20-22 lvl. easy.
