Social Groups Missing

You're likely aware of it already, but social groups appear to be missing now with the new forums. Can no longer access them by way or profile or any other means. Would be great to know if they are intended to be brought back as well.

I'm not sure if IPB has an equivalent feature to vB's groups.

Painaid, only you and your posse were the ones to regularly use the Groups system. They were used by others, but not to the same frequency as you guys. I can't comment on whether it is "worth it" or not though since I do not know what would be required to provide a similar system.



This is certainly something we will discuss in the staff section as we don't want to screw you guys over by removing a tool you used regularly.

Hm, ok that's understandable... I would say though that the Groups section was not very 'open' or accessible in the last format. Usually you would not find it unless you were specifically looking for it through your profile or otherwise. Perhaps their accessibility/ease of access could also be partially to blame for their lack of use by most forum-goers.

the group section was not very accessible, and one single post about it on front page one time didn't make it any better. I really loved it and it was the only reason a came to this site.



But it is understandable if you don't bring it back because of no one using it, but that may have been your fault not the community.

Well thanks for the quick responses, TGS. Was at least worth inquiring about. Given that only about 10-15 of us used it, I won't bother with a poll.



I think Desh and I will just use a different site now for the social group like the one you linked.
