So this bracket is becoming better, and I may hop on the band wagon.

Heya. I did some looking into stuff and I've heard this bracket is getting better on the Alliance side. Considering that I haven't been in this bracket for nearly a year now due to the GY farming, I have no way to tell if the rumours are true.

So I decided a bit about a class I could roll that's easy to gear since frankly, I don't have the time or gold to farm, so I decided to pick out an Arms warrior. Not UP, not OP, just right for me. Also decided to not roll human due to my lack of focus to get an AGM on a fully populated server which is paired with other high pop servers.

I've built together a little Chardev for my arms warrior, and I thought about trying a neat strategy I doubt others have in mind.

chardev 10 - Mist of Pandaria - BETA

I start out with an Arcanite Ripper with a Crusader on it. When Crusader procs, I switch into the weapon that is in my chardev, and then switch back to Arcanite once Crusader is gone.

I've picked the BoA cape over the dungeon cape for preference reasons. Due to the haste on the BoA, it has the same DPS as the dungeon cloak (Though it doesn't have as much crit), and more stamina. I've also discovered that 10 haste to gloves is better than 7 strength (And due to Arcanite Ripper being a slower weapon, the haste doesn't have that much of an effect on my Crusader proc since it is already slow as it is).

Would this be viable? Thought I'd try something different that I assume nobody's done before (With armor/weapons).

Also, I can't afford a faction change most likely, so it's strictly alliance stuff.

How's it look?

for you other fotm-rollers, check my signature
I'd assume that Arms isn't fotm, to be honest (Though it's a bad assumption since I stopped playing in this bracket long ago). I'd honestly think Arms would be on the balanced side of things. No OP heals, no OP damage (-I'm staring at prot warriors-).

Is it really FoTM? It seems to me that Arms would be more of a balanced spec that isn't UP or OP, just in between. o_O

You better use Frost Oil on that Emil's Brand.

Why would anyone gear for haste on a class that lacks tot?
According to Chardev, Minor Haste to gloves provides more DPS than 7 strength. Chardev's fairly accurate on the DPS perspective.

When combining Crusader (From another weapon you switch out) with a Counterweight weapon, it does hell of a lot more DPS compared to just plain old strength stacking. xD

You did not answer my question in any way.

Strength and crit are the best way to go for arms. Haste would be great if you could stick on a target, but that will rarely be the case. Even with the new charge talents warriors lack time on target and you will constantly get peeled off of your target. Arms is viable and a very fun spec to play, but definitely gear towards strength and crit. Hope you enjoy 19s :)

Thanks for the useful input and suggestions (Probably the only person here yet who posted constructive specific criticism). What you say does make sense now that I have it explained more effectively, though I have a hunch and I want to try out my way first to see if it isn't as viable as I thought, though if it isn't what I expect it to be, I'll regear.

Going to experiment first before I make conclusions. Trying to think outside the box and not cookie-cut the gear, though you brought up good points.

Hey man do your own thing. If you wanna try out haste, go for it! Should be an interesting experiment - especially if used in conjunction with a prot/ret pally stun or consistent hunter/mage slows. Haste is a very fun stat to stack.
