US So 39's... Who wants to play the "new" 19 bracket??

So upon further testing, I would NOT recommend lvling your 39's to 43/44. It won't hurt you if you did (I did with some of my 39's but not all), but it could make your character VERY susceptible to lvling. Currently on PTR, every character I copy over is 1 XP from lvling, so if you lvl to 43/44, you will need to have XP LOCKED before patch day to ensure you don't accidently lvl!

Arenas got moved to 20+ in the most recent build. The skirmish button was still there on 10-19s, but didn't do anything when I pressed it. 20+ gets queued up just fine

tl;dr is: level to 42. learn 100% mount speed. don't turn in quest for rewards (they will be better if turned in after the squish).

Yes. I recommend several things if you are a lvl 19, 29, or 39.


Lvl 19, 29, and 39 Shadowlands Pre-Patch Prep


MUST DO

• Lvl to 40 and learn 100% mount speed! It will be GF’d!
  

SHOULD DO

• Consolidate Marks of Honor to 1 or 2 characters. Prepare to buy honor gems from Stormwind PVP vendor. DO NOT BUY BEFORE PRE-PATCH!
  
  
• Buy/Farm mats for TBC, WotLK, and possibly BfA to prepare to lvl Engineering, Jewelcrafting, and/or Alchemy on your main character(s).
  

ON PATCH DAY

• Go to Shattrath and buy all the gear you can use from G'eras. There will be a portal available in the portal room for 19s.
  
  
• Learn TBC, WotLK and BfA professions (might be hotfixed).
  
  
• Unlock your artifact weapon quest (do not put in relic gems yet!)
  
  
• Enchant your artifact weapon (needs to be applied while the ilvl is low).
  
  
• If Legion Dungeon gear is still ilvl 44, run those until you have a full set.
  
  
• If not, run BC dungeons to get socket gear. Honestly, you can likely solo.
  
  
• Socket BC gear.
  
  
• Socket relic weapon.
  
  
• Train your new Engineering/professions.
