Slower weps have better chance to proc crusader but idk how cudgel works cuz dmg formulas don't take into account the actual weapon speed but use a template instead that sees the speed as 2.6 if the weapon is 1h. So worth testing I guess

Dual Hellscreams with +3 str gems is gonna give you *slightly* more dmg than Cudgel + Hellscream. If you're socketing with any 2/2 gems though, I think Cudgel wins?
The increased crusader procs from the slower weapon speed is really less than 2% increased chance (5.88 procs every 100 swings vs 4.34 every 100) but hey, thats not nothing.
I'd say blue cudgel, just for swag points and because heirlooms make your character pane look ugly.

just personal preference tbh
both work
flat chaos dmg increase vs lower gcd / ele procc increase etc.
gameplay-wise i prefer having the later - especially during metamorphosis burst window.
nothing wrong with going mastery, hits harder with chaos strike/beam etc - also goes well with blind fury talent.
i just buy stuff.
