Skyrim

I'd feel a lot better with your overused quote if I had a belly full of mead!

I tried mercenary work. It didn't suit me.

All that said, Skyrim is a hella fun, until you do everything, then it gets hella boring.

[SPOILERS BELOW]

After you beat the main quest, become the leader of pretty much every organization in the game, and get 100 smithing, enchanting, and alchemy, there's really nothing left to do. You make yourself a godly set of gear that makes your favorite spells free to cast, hit armor cap and resist caps so you're basically invincible, and you don't even need to level up anymore...Technically there's "infinite quests" thanks to this "radiant system" so you're supposed to be able to keep playing for-ev-uhr, but all the radiant quests are the infamous "gather 8 bear pelts, then go kill 5 bandits, then..." type.

That's not to say I regret buying skyrim. After owning it for only a month I clocked like 200 hours on it because it was so addicting. And once they release the construction kit I'm sure I'll have plenty of user-made content to delve into. I'm just saying that the "omigod this is like a single-player WoW" feeling does die out eventually.

I love Skyrim! The stories are rich and varied and the dragons feel sutiably epic with the Dovahkiin theme in the background (ignoring the fact they're a little weak with sufficient gear... my first ancient dragon encounter wasn't pretty though...).

I hate that damn arrow-to-the-knee joke though! Whenever anyone says it I wanna gut them like a horker...

(Okay, it's not that bad. Most of the time).

I have a mod that adds light sabers to daedric smithing

with sound effect and ****. It is awesome

As long as you don't do the main quest line first it is a lot of fun. Made that mistake in Oblivion. Ive finished with mages and thieves guild, prolly do dark brotherhood then main quest (companians are fags).

Also picked up the 24 stones of Bazenath or w/e. Thanks youtube

Getting ~3 stones per urn/chest is always fun. Picking up the stones was pretty enjoyable too, a lot more than you would expect.

what did you get for them?

You get Prowler's Proffit. Basically i get ~3 gems per urn, chest, dragon, etc. Expect 30+ gems per dungeon. So i mean if you get it done at like level 10, you have a set amount of gold. I never sell my gems and just throw them all in a safe, have around 400 or so.

Highly suggest doing it early, as if you have already completed most of the quests/have a few houses it is not as beneficial.

I have never got one of those ''gather 8 bear pelts'' ''Kill 5 bandits'' quests. Played over 300hrs..

Go talk to Temba Wide Arm, or Delvin Mallory, or Aela the Huntress, or anyone really once you beat all the main stuff.

Playing for 300 hours doesn't mean anything. You could spend 200 hours grinding all your skills to 100 without ever having finished more than half of the main questline or becoming the champion of any faction.
