Ok, I haven't done arenas (at any level) in a long time - but I'm having a hard time expressing how happy I am right now. Guess I gotta brush up on my skills again and stop being lazy

Ye already came to this conclusion talking with a friend about it.

This is good news, don't get me wrong but a few things are still worrying;

It 100% won't be the same Skirmish Feature you knew before. According to blizzards own statement it was removed because the programming no longer fit with cataclysm. Hence what they'll be bringing out is a replacement.

This leads me to fear (knowing blizzards track record) that there could be some issues. Some of the first ones that comes to mind is
XP on/off
Level requirement
Server/CRZ restrictions.

What is needed is an all level feature that covers all battlegroups with a queue system (like the old skirmish did, only to a single battlegroup though, I believe).

On top of this, we know that it won't be coming out in 5.3. Seeing the release times of PTR/Actual release of patches this leads me to a Skirmish release date of at least 6 months.

5.2 was announced, it took 2-3~ months for an actual release. Seeing as this wont be coming out in 5.3, that means if we're really lucky it'll come in a mid expansion patch of 5.4. That means we gotta go through PTR of 5.3 and 5.4 - and hope that it's then released in patch 5.4

TL;DR?
This is a thing that will be far far far into the future. Don't bother re-subbing for a long time. And we're not even sure twinks will be able to use it.
