What's with the new pop-up ads?

I got a tasty review pop up ad when I looked at the Question about Jump thread in 19 forum.



Edit - Also have a yellow pages pop up, and a Host review ad that redirected me to a different site.

I thought my phone was messing up or I touched the wrong spot on the screen. Happened several times, one was a arcade and didn't really pay attention to the others.

Similar to the above, I've had a couple pop-up almost-fullscreen ads (Casino type if I recall), and the kind that replace the webpage with an ad, followed by a "skip" button in the top right corner. It's rather frustrating.

When I load up the forums, whether its the index or a specific thread, a popup covers the whole page. After a few seconds it gives the option to skip it. Needless to say that this is not intended and we do not intend to introduce popup or autoplay adds on TI.

Ye, i'm getting this nearly all the time, it's so frustrating, it basically over-rides your existing page but keeps the same html so you can't just "back to the previous page:



it seems that they randomly happen whenever you click on a topic or anything at all on TI at the moment



just got a few links that were different than the others and actually provides a html link but they all seem to be powered by Clicksor like Turdel said.

especially when i say "dont allow popups" on firefox and i still get the pop up and i get the ad that covers the TI page and you have to click "skip this faggotry"



ps for me it only happens when i click on "forums" after first coming to TI. hasnt happened clicking on any forums, sub forums, or threads yet

bunch of pop-ups and pop-unders on the site now. not sure what this is about. also a lot of the popups have that annoying fucking script where if you hit the X they prompt you with a bunch of options (begging you to not close the window)
