Silk cloth

What are some good locations to grind silk cloth at, since you cant get mageweave for first aid bandages

currently kiting the zombies outside of the gurubashi arena for them, but its around 1 hour a stack..

You can certainly get mageweave for bandages.

Kill the Furblogs in southern felwood as a hunter. Pull 1 at a time, no trouble.

I made a guide here for solo'ing the First Aid grind at 3 stacks an hour.

The Yetis in the cave in Hillsbrad drop silk, not sure about the rate. Further north past the white ones there are ogres in the ruins of Alterac. Pre Cata they used to have a decent drop rate, might want to check those places out.

I killed maybe 20-30 Yetis there the other day and got 1 silk. I got probably 10-12 wool and 2 linen. Doesn't seem very good based on that limited experience...

Gnomer is great for hunts. Silk is abundant, the mobs are individually soloable, and you can bank some extra scopes while you're there. Other classes will need to either grab a partner or go elsewhere, though.

If you've got a friendly 70+, a single sm cath clear will give you oodles of silk.

If you are alliance I recommend http://www.wowhead.com/npc=38658.

I was farming these yesterday, got about 6-7 stacks in an hour. Obviously you will need a decent amount of hit (but you will have that problem anywhere).

One of the things I liked was this is one of those Alliance v Horde NPC area's so most of the time you are just peeling the mobs off the NPC's at your leisure, they are basically insta-spawn, there's a vendor close by and, being in the barrens you have a shot at the savory delight recipe.

solo is the way to go for me seeing as all my friends have already quit wow and the higher levels all seem to ignore me..

also im not a hunter so kiting furbolgs around wont work for me either, no mageweaves for me.

anyways thanks iacci gonna try those murlocs out!

They're not ignoring you. The just cant see what you say in the /say commands.

do you have an expired p2p account? remember that you get a 10-day re-try every 90 days (or something like that). its good for 10-day spurts of farming rep, mats, pets, exploring, achievements, etc.

point is that i cant contact a higher leveled player and have to solo it all

you can very easily contact a higher level player with the use of emotes. once they whisper you (or invite you to a group), its an open book from there. the possibilities are endless! destiny is in your hands! Azeroth is your oyster! blablablabla!

just poke around until you find someone (or someone who knows someone) who is rep/achievement/etc farming (patience and i'm confident you'll find someone).

that's how more than a few of us got our Hallowed title...just running around emoting high level toons until they talked to us...then being really polite.

heck, with enough patience, you could probably even just sit in front of the SM portals until you find someone who will let you tag along (queuing for BGs and dungeons to pass the time).
