Shout out to the fossils!

If skirmishes were implemented in 5.4, I wouldn't doubt taht the 19 bracket would see a heavy revival. It's intricately to set up wargames, and you have to be in touch with the other group. Where you, with skirmishes, could just queue up and you would get pop against a random team

He was saying i was talking about farming, I assume he meant that I am hypocrite for condemning those that farm if I have farmed someone even for one single time, I replied to him saying I only end those lives that beg for ending, I don't shed the blood of the weak and the defenseless, anyone who has ever acted pompous I have humiliated in 1v1 or with the people I have played with, back in the days and in the present and they have begged for humialiation

gy farming for woppers 100k hks achi, thats definetly sum blood of the weak there.

people are afraid of losing so im sure it would die out fast.

well now days no one are up for arenas even tho they are easy set up via wargames :/ and it gives me the feeling that even if skirmishes comes back i doubt they would bring any activity back because people are
afraid to lose and this will lead to (no improvement because they are not willing to play) i think its the main reason most people stay shit at the game, they are not up for improving...

Me and my guildies are almost always up for arena wargames even tho we are not as active on EU anymore

personally i loved skirmishes back in the day. i really liked the random part to it, that u could just que up and get a pop in a few secs or mins
wargames are just not the same imo :S

i dont believe activity will go up much if skirmishes return because most people (myself included) just lost interest in 19s or wow entirely. its gotten really boring since MOP

I agree that wargames aren't happening because ppl dodge to much, but with skirmishes, losing against a random team from another server, isn't really bad, and it isn't as 'official' as a wargame.

yeh i agree, im tired of 19s aswell only thing i enjoy atm is playing as a 10 man group versus another serious 10 man group, because its alot more competitive, but sadly its hard to set up and dont happen at all on EU :) hopefully sputnik returns in 5.4 and atleast try revive AAO

It's actually about the ego, dude. As in, we have to recognize that there ARE relatively new people to the bracket that are actually GOOD players, or even the "cherry on the top of the cake". And people tend to only consider people who played in the old days. I'm a person who played the old days and the middle days, and I saw people who were once regarded as the "cherry on top of the cake" and turned into complete GARGABE after a patch or two. Why? Because they did not adapt to the game.

You have to give the new generation the conditions to prosper. For those old people who quit, it's better to quit regarded as an example and trully respectable player (and maybe the best of your own class), than to quit and come back babling about how much better you are than the "newbs" that play now.

Keep your titles and egos, guys. Let the new generation take control and build themselves a well-earned title, regardless of how hard or easy the game is now.

I retired as an undefeated druid @ 3.3.5. Not even lost to shamans nor to mirror matches on 2v2s. But Post-3.3.5? I would probably get wrecked by people that I don't even know. I don't even know if I would last more than 2min on a WSG.

So let the rockies be rockies, let the rockies turn into legends, and let legends retire as legends. Don't bring in your egos, unless you're playing around.

Philosophical Sputnick out.

That sounds mighty bitter considering what I & Azol did for you, also I am still waiting for you to accept my 1v1 challenge of hybrids FC'ing(which according to you takes no skill) or dueling your damage class main, pm I'll be waiting for your decision I'm up any time of the day, any day of the year

I know who Vianco is, we had good times on WSG. He was playing a bald, undead rogue back then. I'm glad that he's now kicking them asses, as it's always lovely to see that people are still playing. :)

Azol learnt me how to strafe in tbc but not sure what you did

and look at you two now, you havnet improved and im the god

sputnik missed you Borat! Vianco went from a semi decent player to a str8 up God.

Glad to know that. :)

We'll see what this patch brings. If it's considerable, I'll revive <Against All Odds>, as I'm still the rightful Guild and Bank Officer of our guild, and I'll carry the legacy and respect of what it is to be on one the oldest branch-guilds in twink history, tracying back its existence to 2006 (and the existence of its members).

Anyone is welcome to join. I'll try my best to bring in some fossiles, because I'm completely sure that we'll have active people. I'll suck ass in the first days, so I'm counting on the new folks who understand the game mechanisms to tell me how things work around, as I've been away for too long (+3 years).

Lets see if this bracket still has some fire left.
