Sure they have heals but ele shamans and shadow priests cant heal, they oom in seconds if they have to heal. Balance sure they do nasty healing and have a tough time going oom.

an ele shammy can heal forever...

avenger shield spread silence, along with a guaranteed reset with bubble. they make for the worst hard swap targets in the game and sometimes in arena you really don't have a choice. their off heals are better than a priest pre boa... and HOJ every what 45 sec? they more control than they need at this lvl as well as the speed buffs from talents the fact that bubble avenger shield could mean the outcome against spell cleaves is why I believe no absolutely not allowed imo. Because is inevitable... It will happen with a prot they can play as aggressive as they want with no consequence so long as they stay in los and if shit hits the fan bubble is always there. no other class in the bracket ahs a guaranteed reset with amazing off heals and a stun up every minute or so... now add in the fact that most play it as belf... GG my point is proven its simply OP as hell as a belf prot pally and there is no arguing it. though I must say its beatable ive managed to beat tons of them in 3s thus far. but usually cuz of slip ups.

I never meant to say Salfear was on the same level of bad as Url. I'm pretty sure Url is the reigning monarch of bads who just won't die.

On topic - the more rules you make the less likely people will join.

When promoting events like this focus on the fun aspect and keep the rules minutia in the background.

Since it's your show be confident in your rules choice and don't open it up to conversation - once you ask opinions you damn your project because everyone will never be satisfied.

No I am.

(read: Both #1 and Drünk).

I could not agree more.

Things have changed. This is a competition due to Prize. Its not fun when people stop playing comps that are balanced and fun to play against and run something so ungodly boring to play against.

I agree with you on all of that apart from the Ele shamans. As an experienced shaman I can tell you that if I use Water Shield, and play smartly, I can keep mana up for a long time while still putting out a LOT of healing when it matters.
But yes with the shadow priest I see where you're coming from.

Yeah... ele doesn't oom. The disadvantage of ele in healing is they can't do anything for you at instant speed.

I'm not saying no rules - I'm saying (in general) solidify your rules before presenting an event.

Many people will make associations based on the rules debate rather than the friendly competition and reward aspect (in general terms the grand design of the project).

Kudos to OP for organizing this. Don't let minutia beat you in your goal.

GLHF to All.

XOXO,

Drünk
