Should i make a 19 heal pally.

I have only been playing my mage for a day now but notice the lack of heals sometimes on horde i was wondering if i should make my 18 pally a 19 twink pally i enjoy healing but do healer get focused ALOT because i hate getting constantly bashed by alli, thanks for your input.
